He would have signed it. He pleaded to. You may know contracts  but you are ignoring the facts here

Fact 1:  The Panthers tagged Norman on March 1, 2016.  The offer was for $13,952,000, for one season.

Fact 2:  As of March 8, 2016...Josh had refused to sign.

Fact 3:  As of March 15, 2016...Josh had refused to sign.

Fact 4:  As of March 22, 2016...Josh had refused to sign.

Fact 5:  As of March 29, 2016...Josh had refused to sign.

Fact 6:  As of April 5, 2016...Josh had refused to sign.

Fact 7:  As of April 12, 2016...Josh had refused to sign.

Fact 8:  As of March 19, 2016...Josh had refused to sign.

Bottom Line: Josh had 7-weeks to sign the tag....

....yet he refused to do so.

Josh Norman said he will sign the contract but his agent messed it all up and Gman withdrew the offer.

He did not have a chance to sign because Gman withdrew the offer. Josh was pretty much ready with pen in hand ready to go.

Nonsense.

He had 7-weeks, 49-days, 1,176-hours....in which to sign --- never did.

So, let me see if I have this correct. Josh never signed his deal, which is widely known. However, you are taking credit for knowing he would not sign the deal?

That right there is some creative revisionist history I tell ya what.

You are correct, it is widely known Josh never signed his deal.

You are incorrect in that I didn't know Josh wouldn't sign his deal, not before anyone else in the general public anyway.

Your last sentence makes no sense, would you like to take another shot at it?

If you do I promise I will respond, and will do so in a polite fashion.

Facts:

>>Josh was offered a $14 million 1-year contract.

>>>Josh declined to sign said contract.

>>Said contract was pulled.

>>Gettleman wasn't the decision-maker who pulled said contract.

    • You literally did it right there and didn't even remember it. Sorry long Friday.
    • TMac to finish up Feels good after pads came on. Physicality is a little different, playstyle is a little different. Refs let the players play, so he has to earn his stripes to get calls and just has to be better playing through contact. Focusing on staying confident and listening to coaches. Not much has changed for him, still trying to be his authentic self. Was asked about boxing practice he was seen doing. He's done that since he was a kid because his dad was a boxer and taught his siblings. Was the youngest and got beat up the most, but now he's the fourth of sixth children. Boxing helps with his cardio and being reactive with his hands to the ball + DB. Admits to struggling the first couple of days, hats off to the DB corps for making him better every single day but had his best day on Wednesday. Even the best get got. Just have to remain confident in preparation and abilities. Confidence will take you only so far, and that's where his resilience plays a factor. XL is authentic and great to have in the room. Can rely on him to be the same guy every day. They make each other better. Everybody feeds off of each other and when one person wins they all win. Happy to be a part of the receiver room. Was asked about how he was laughing harder than everybody else at XL getting his feet in the water off the back of the boat: "Man he needs to be stopped bro... He can't be serious but he was serious. It's all good." Playing against the increased amount of press he's facing in practice is helping him get more physical. His job is to catch the ball, so if it touches his hand he has to come down with it. Only catches with one hand if he needs to, but that gives the QB a bigger catch radius. Had a pregame routine where he did a 360 one-handed catch, but doesn't do it anymore. Working on being a pro: Getting into the facility early and getting treatment, eating better, etc. Just wants to win re: rookie goals. Anything he can do to help the team win. "I'm looking for to the season man and keep pounding."
    • DJ Wonnum up next Felt the defense came out ready to work at all levels and took over practice. New standard around here. Young guys have to know they're coming in to work. Last year was not the standard. Nic and Princely are fun. Different personalities but loves what they bring to the room. Sky is the limit for them. Nic sits next to Wonnum, Princeley sits next to Jones II. Allows them to be better mentors. Feels great and ready to go Incoom's athleticism allows him to bend and get low even to compensate for not being the biggest guy. Can set the edge. EDGE guys are helped when the ILBs can get home because it allows them to be a little more free while still in scheme. DB being back means his dominance is back. Can set the edge from the 3 or wherever he's at to make the runs bounce to the EDGE guys. Winning mentality and standard this year. Championship level from practice to how you live off of the field. Accept greatness and excellence with guys wanting to come to work every day. Not settling for anything less. Been in guys' shoes that are fighting for roster spots so he knows how to address them. Remembers not knowing what's next, especially as a rookie. Have a clear mind and ask the older guys a lot of questions. Has a good relationship already with Pat Jones II due to knowing each other and talking football all of the time. Can make hand gestures and know immediately what to adjust. Taking care of his body and excited to start the season. Getting it acclimated to football again by being able to tackle and bring players to the ground. Didn't know they were playing live tomorrow. Don't tell me it'll be "thud." Browns next week will allow them to hit somebody else and get a feel of what a different team is doing. Also allows the team to see where they're at on offense and defense. Ready to play football. Not worried about the QB matchup for Cleveland, going to play hard regardless of who is back there.
