Likely won't see Cam in a Panthers uni again

I know it's not the news many want to hear, but that is likely the end of the Cam era in Carolina.

Look for him to be either released or traded before the NFL draft.

Can you share why you think this? If Kyle falters, Ron/Hurney would want to see if Cam can finally get healthy next year, otherwise you go into the year without a starting QB. If it’s a new coaching staff, who knows what they would do?

And there’s zero chance he’s getting released. He’ll still have fairly significant trade value (at the very least a day 2 pick).

Not click bait. This thread will age well as sad as it is to say.

It might not be but right now 0 people know. Hell Tepper himself might not even know yet so to present it as a forgone conclusion is 100% clickbait

Doesn't it still depend on how Kyle finishes the year? Or would they go QB in the draft?

There’s just so so many factors that can change a lot of things that I don’t know how you can say it’s likely one way or another. So many questions that need to be answered before we can say whether Cam is likely gone or not. Going QB in the draft becomes more and more difficult if we keep winning.

If you don’t think people within the organization have already made a decision on this I don’t know what to tell you. They planned this out last offseason and the events that have happened this year made it a much easier decision.

Seriously though, Joe Person has been saying this was possible for a long time.

Of course it’s been “possible” but what have we seen that actually makes it “likely?” Unless Igo has some insight we plebeians don’t have, it’s just a big question mark that depends on a lot of factors that could change and isn’t “likely” one way or another.

Never really thought about that but is this the reason for the Grier draft?  I hate it for Cam but this makes sense seeing it written out
