complimenting Kyle is not a slight on Cam

Financially:

The Panthers have to make no decisions on Kyle Allen financially. He's playing for peanuts until 2022. From a contract standpoint he has no impact on Cam.

Direct Competition:

There is none. Cam is out for the year and never should have been playing in the first place.

Moving Forward:

The biggest issues are Cam's health and his contract situation, neither of which Kyle has anything to do with.

Even though I don't think it has any bearing on this thread, i will restate my opinions on Cam I've stated many times, and the reason I'm doing this will be further illustrated below.

1. Cam is the greatest QB in team history.

2. Cam is a borderline hall of famer (I don't think he gets in but that's another thread).

3. Cam owes the Panthers (and the league) fuging nothing for how they treated him.

I lived in Atlanta in 2007. I saw how awful that got with the fan base. I'm not going to speculate on the reasons for that falling apart so badly, but it was embarrassing for all parties.

Kyle Allen's progress or lack thereof has nothing at all to do with Cam and a lot of you would be better off remembering that.

Allen has very little bearing on Cam's fate with the Panthers. And almost all of you (good posters included, not just the white noise) are clouding your own judgement by viewing it through this prism.

And just an addendum:

I know a lot of people here started cheering for the Panthers with Cam, and that's fine. I don't care when you became a fan of the team. I remember how excited I was when he threw that bomb to Smith against Arizona in 2011. I remember working the next day (I was hanging wind screens on tennis courts right out of college) listening to wfnz on my iphone as they all just went fuging crazy.

I also remember walking into the Jags Panthers game right at the start of the 2nd half in 2003. I was in the Charlotte children's theater acting ensemble and I had to go late because of a rehearsal. I walked in just as the Panthers scored their first TD in what would become a big comeback win.

Your defining moment is no less impactful than anyone else's. Just divorce yourself from that.
