He really is our MVP. 75% of the time, D-Lo and J-Stew simply follow him before the break out. It's almost as if he's running a route himself rather than becoming a battering ram. Fiametta is nowhere near his talent level and as we've seen, the run game suffers when Hoov ain't in there. But...Hoover isn't getting any younger. Hopefully he can train Fiametta properly.

Yeah since Fiametta has so little playing time. As long as we have TF there, I think we should play up to his skills. Wasn't he pretty versatile at Syracuse? Teams won't be expecting him for checkdowns and what not.

"Fiammetta played in 44 games at Syracuse, as a fullback and on special teams. In 2008, he was a receiving threat out of the backfield and is the third-leading receiver (16 receptions for 127 yards). In his four years at Syracuse, Fiammetta had 16 carries for 89 yards, including a career-long 58-yard run at Cincinnati in his final game for the Orange, and 28 receptions for 202 yards and one touchdown."

I know he's a rookie but he's dropped two important passes this year already. I know he has to get groomed for his eventual take-over as starter but he scares me right now.

If hoover can't go against the saints, and being that fiametta suffered a concussion(which means he probably can't play for a few weeks) who in the hell is gonna play fullback? we joked around last night that stewart could play the fullback position for a couple weeks.....imagine the blocks he would get! but we know that won't happen.

Anyone else concerned that Fiammetta was also out due to a concussion? I appreciate he is no where in Hoover's league, but that leaves us with a gapping whole at FB if neither clears up. For a power running team that is kinda important...

you beat me to it....sorry.

    • Many layers my frend- Panthers had a draft recently. They picked 4 defense players. Each player picked 11, 22, 33, 55 as their number. For some players that number match the round or pre-draft round rank, example- Prince was a 3rd rounder and choose 33. Nic was a 1st rounder on some mock drafts and Dan Morgan said they had him as a 1st, he picked 11. Cam Jackson recently switched his number to 55, same as draft and has been telling Dave he wants to be special over and over.  The 44 was to add GOAT feels, thoughts, and more intrigue to this rookie phenomenon. X files was cause it was a great TV show and maybe it was playing when this theory came together.......   I hope this helps!
    • The best things Purdy has are certainly important tools for any QB. His accuracy his timing his decision making etc. I feel like he is a high end Teddy Bridgewater. You can compete and win in the regular season with this especially in a weakened NFC but where his limitations come into focus is when you are trying to contend for a Super Bowl you are going against elite and in some instances generational QB's like Mahomes. And when the time has come for him to go up against Mahomes he simply can't get it done. Now certainly he is not alone in that regard and people will point to another highly regarded QB such as Josh Allen who also cannot get by Mahomes. But the difference I see is Allen is not IMO at a phsyical disadvantage in that matchup whereas Purdy is. And that is with what had been to this point a comically stacked roster around Purdy and let's be clear we cannot understate that regardless of which side of the fence we land on in this debate. Purdy has had a top 5 roster and a top 5 coach. And the last time they went to the Super Bowl they leaned on McCaffrey extremely heavily. Now with what they are having to pay him and divert limited resources elsewhere they face a steep climb to get back to the Super Bowl let alone actually win it.
    • Lonzo mentioned Melo going to the Clippers, but he also said we would draft Dylan Harper and he isn't making it to 4.
