Pass protection is one thing but the line needs to get a push and open holes for cmc. We need a new coach for the OL. Focus on strength and conditioning.

Yup, we can't even set up an effective screen play for CMC.  All I can hear in my head is the theme for Benny Hill when these guys try pull and/or block down field.

The hope was that Williams would be decent at LT to give Little a chance to develop. Obviously this was not the case, but I think if Little can get healthy this offseason having him and Daley battle it out at LT isn’t that bad. With that said our top FA target should be the best LG available to help whoever wins that battle and we should draft a center early in the draft. Little/Daley, vet FA, Early Draft Pick, Turner, Moton. Should be a good combination of young talent and veterans.

The truly sad thing is that the majority of the posters on this forum correctly predicted that Williams would be a disaster at LT yet evidently our professional football coaches couldn't recognize that inevitability.

You guys should check out the grades for Jonah Williams or Dillard their rookie seasons if you think drafting a LT in the 1st round is the solution

Or you know, try to be patient with Daley and Little, who both have better grades than the LTs drafted in the 1st round this year

A rookie left tackle who comes in and dominates in one year only comes around twice a decade.  Daley has performed extremely well for a rookie (best PFF grade of any rookie LT in the NFL)

It is.  Williams was not getting any bites in FA, recovering from the blown-out knee posing a serious question mark and a career RT moving over to the left side (a huge transition) it was billed as: 'look what kind cunning and savvy it took to get a "starting" LT at such a reasonable price!'  When it should have been: 'look, we are about to take huge gamble on the LT position and may backfire despite the cap-friendly deal.'

We know which way the story was spun.  Hurney may have a future in politics...

We definitely need a dominate LT. I'm good with acquiring a veteran, at the right price and letting Little get healthy. If not, then draft or future LT but we may not get the immediate results we want...

Because dominants left tackles are always available in FA or made available in trade by their teams. I’m with you bro, let’s go get one. Just point out to Hurney which one you want.

Thats available.
