People should always be free to love whomever they choose, but openly tempting hostile retaliation needlessly can be very dumb behavior.

Nowhere have I advocated that people should change their feeling based on a bad law, they simply shouldn't engage in behavior

do you even understand what you are saying cause you are directly contradicting yourself with these two statements

This isn't going anywhere. You're failing to acknowledge some basic things about logic and rhetoric. You are of course entitled to your views, but you're not going to convince me Odell's actions weren't ill advised. We already agree completely that the NCAA is a scam. Lets not drag this thread any more down a tangential rabbit hole.

says i dont understand logic and rhetoric yet is contradicting himself ITT. The irony..

I understand completely what I said, and there is no contradiction. You are failing to understand the distinction between someone's feelings, and their actions. Being in love is a feeling. Walking down the street holding hands and kissing is an action. No one should not be in love because of a law, that is a feeling. People should avoid running afoul of a law without good cause, even if the law is bad, that is an action.

Again, you're having problems understanding some basic things here, so it's best we discontinue this conversation. I agree the  NCAA is awful, so let's leave it at that.

im not going to blame Odell for this.

100% on NCAA because at the end of the day its the NCAA who are imposing these "negative consequences" its not a law. Its literally NCAA scamming these kids. There is no reason for it other than lining their pockets

Let’s say LSU gets punished because he gave a wad to a sophomore

yeah, that isn’t 100% on the NCAA.  The world is full of bad laws and rules.

Odell knows better.  He just wouldn’t of cared.  He he wouldn’t of cared it hurt LSU until after the fact.  Idiots don’t deserve a full pass no matter how bad the NCAA is

100% false.

loving someone is action. kissing holding hands etc is expressing that love. saying someone shouldnt hold hands or kiss someone they love based off of an unjust law is telling someone they cant love who they want and its dumb to not comply with unjust laws.

YOU have zero understanding of what you are actually saying trying to justify why you should comply with unjust things. You arent smart enough for this i can guarantee that

yes. especially when these kids arent even in the class room during the season and our basically performing pro athlete duties. Thats their job. Not going to school. Dont kid yourself.

Thats not even mentioning these kids generate FAR more in value then the tuition they are being "compensated" with
