How many heads will explode if both Simmons and Brown are both available and we take Brown?

Why would they? I’ve championed Browns play as much as anyone. But both(and Okudah) are all going to be great. No bad options in that group.

I prefer Brown over Simmons, but would be fine with Simmons.  However, the people going hard for Simmons have absolutely been trashing Brown.

Yeah, it's weird. I definitely prefer Brown, but I'm not about to trash Simmons. I think he's one helluva prospect. I just also know that he's largely going to be wasted if we don't put a DL in front of him.

You have seen folks down playing Brown as much as anyone. Many of those folks are in the Simmons camp.

The poster I got the biggest kick out of was the guy seriously trying to claim Clemson would've had a middle of the pack college D without Simmons. Clemson had the #3 defense in college football. They'd have to plummet 40-50 spots from there to be considered middle of the pack. That's hilarious. Clemson won't have Simmons next year, but they'll still have a top defense because they have a super aggressive DC with 4 and 5 star recruits stacked like cord wood to play with.

Honestly that is the one thing that does give me pause with Simmons.  Will he be another Vic Beasley?  When you have one of the most aggressive DCs in college football with Venables and 5-star players practically at every position, how will he fair on a bad team?  Beasley had a break out rookie year, but has been under the radar since then.

That's why they're called "prospects". No such thing as a sure thing when you're trying to evaluate how a player will translate to the next level of competition, likely in an entirely different system. Oh, and don't forget, this is all going to happen while you're also turning a kid into an overnight millionaire.

Everyone loves to throw around Mel Kiperisms saying this guy is a "plug and play 10 year starter" or a "future All-Pro", but it's just not that simple.

If liking one player means the other has to be trash, that’s sad.

I’ve debated many reasons given for not taking Brown. None of them involved saying he was a better pick than the other two.

Calling Simmons a bigger faster Sean Taylor was about as big a compliment as I could come up with for a prospect.

.And Okudah is good a CB prospect as anyone. Reminds me of Revis in college.

If Beasley was covering a slot WR, there is probably a 70% chance that he falls down before his third step. Seriously. Well....sort of...lol.
