According to Pat Leonard and Tony Pauline the 4 players buzzing for the Giants are:

Derrick Brown, Andrew Thomas, Tristian Wirfs and Isaiah Simmons

It's going to be Wirfs or Simmons.

my point was Wills is an excellent RT just seems like a natural fit but I agree

Ohh I thought you meant Wirfs lol
Wills can play RT or LT, I'm sure he could play guard but I wouldn't want to use him there.

They will pick either Wirf or Simmons. Notable because most teams have Wills > Wirfs.

Especially surprising with Judge's ties to Alabama and Wills Jr's ability to start on the RT before moving over to LT.

Unless Gettleman is looking for a pure RT?

• O.K., so who is looking at trading up? Three teams that seem to be investigating it pretty pointedly: Tampa, Denver and Atlanta. The Bucs and Broncos, I’ve heard, could be going up for one of the top four linemen (Becton, Jedrick Wills, Tristan Wirfs and Andrew Thomas), making Jacksonville’s slot, at No. 9, a potential hotspot, given the needs the Browns and Jets have at 10 and 11. It’s not as clear what the Falcons would be pursuing, though GM Thomas Dimitroff has always, in the past, been more proactive than most in looking at the option of moving up.

Marty will receive trade calls but his dumb-ass will probably just stay at 7

Before we screwed up our offseason, I really really wanted to trade down from 7, especially if a QB fell and a team got greedy.

Now, I just want the very best player.  I hoped we were doing a full rebuild, but instead we are doing half measures....which likely won't work out, but at this point, may as well go for it.

I'm curious how the uncertainty around this draft affects how many teams want to trade up or down. I thought that the most likely scenario if we traded back was to pick up extra picks in next year's draft, since Tepper has been talking about how rebuilds take time and there are always some desperate teams trying to win now. I hoped that we could use Tepper's patience to our advantage to stock up on future picks. It seems like teams are worried about this draft, though, and are probably going to want to hold onto next year's picks, which is a shame. Hopefully some team like the Steelers, Saints, Bucs, Packers, or Colts see their windows closing with aging QB's.

It's still pretty close to a full rebuild, right? We've got an average QB and like five starters on defense.

    • If the Bills were going to do this they should have cleaned house. Keeping Beane but making McDermott the fall guy is just delaying the inevitable.
    • Honestly would love to get Yung Tro back as our 2C. He always did a good job of screening the goalie and helping us get those ugly goals we seemingly never get in the playoffs
    • Beane gave McDermott enough firepower to win the Superbowl for several years, including this one, and McDermott did not get it done. Blaming Beane is just wrong. Moreover, there was a more lateral structure in the management from what Albert Breer said. McDermott had huge influence into personnel acquisitions and moves. Not to mention other questions regarding game and clock management through the years. He just didn't get it done. As opposed to trying to malign Brandon Beane, you need to be blaming the players for screwing the pooch (Josh included).
