It is fuging stupid how sane GWB sounds compared to this fuging travesty that is the executive branch right now.

@bull123 take your party back.

Hard to do when Trump is living in your head.

I know I will get banned again for telling you to take it back to TB, but whatever

“If we wait for a pandemic to appear, it will be too late to prepare”

The current administration had 3 months to prepare.

To be fair the whole world was not prepared.  Pointing finger at Trump and blame him for everything is not factual.  Plus Chinese lies played a big role in world failure to get ready as Chinese said no new cases and they got everything under control which everyone knows now is a pile of crap.

That’s exactly the point though. It’s better to be over prepared, than not prepared at all. Why listen to anything China says?

Could we have been and completely avoided this mess we are in right now? Yes.

If we had prepared properly would this stay at home, everything is closed be in place? No.

This didn’t just show up in March, China has known about this since Nov. 17th, which means we did too. Even if the US found out when it started coming out. That’s 3 months to prepare(hell almost 4 at this point).

Ignoring does not equal not knowing.

So would your man Biden have thought it a terrible idea of closing the borders?  We know the answer on that one.

Anyway, if anyone thinks politicians are there to do much beyond keep power, then they are a bit misled.  So we give a bit of credit to Bush II for starting the conversation on pandemics.  But, presidents can suggest more money or less money for programs, but generally Congress has to get on board to actually pass the money for it.

Vote buying is generally the way pols operate.  Whether it is huge tax cuts or big entitlement programs, that is how they keep power, by manipulation.  Spending money on a "virus possibility" will not get you votes and not many will do things ahead of time.

You can keep grinding your ax for Biden all you want, but doubt he would have done any better.  Again, nobody in the world was ready for this, and you cannot prepare for a pandemic in a couple months, as evidenced by the globe as we speak.

I did not vote for Trump nor Hillary, thought they were both less than qualified to hold the office.  Just so you know.  So manipulation and Twitter truth can only go so far.

Coronavirus has been around since 1960.  COVID-19 was discovered only around 45 days before mass outbreak.  China lied to the world and tried to cover it up.  You cannot prepare for something that never happened in recent history in few weeks.

Unless it's in an election year.  Then, it is the greatest, or worst of everything.  Usually, it lies somewhere in between, except for the hyperpartisan

That's not accurate. South Korea was. They saw SARS and they were ready for it if it happened again.

Both South Korea and America had their first case on January 20th. Fast forward three and a half months and South Korea has a little over 10k cases and has lost a total of 183 people. Meanwhile, we have nearly as many deaths as they have total cases and we have over 330k diagnosed cases despite terrible access to tests. That number is almost certainly MUCH higher.

We failed catastrophically. When we should have been preparing, our President was calling the pandemic a hoax. It's unforgivable.

    • Hmmm... not a good start. Maybe I'm reading too much into this but after the guy who has been carrying your offense expresses frustration with his sudden lack of use and your HC just blows it off and confirms they haven't even talked, your PR team decides to use the guy who should be his backup as their poster boy hyping this week's game? Yikes. Hard not to interpret that as another slap in the face.
    • For some reason this is becoming a disturbing trend in the NFL. Teams are shutting down one part of their offense without causation from the opposition. Shane Steichen did it an overtime loss against Kansas City last week with the best back in the NFL. Pete Carroll allowed Chip Kelly to completely abandon the run game against Dallas the week before he was fired in Oakland as the OC. Matt Lafleur abandoned the pass instead choosing to rely on a bottled up run game when we clearly were having issues with the passing game. Big brain play callers some of them HCs are what the league wanted along with high powered offense and these dudes are making some of the dumbest situational calls I've ever seen. At least most of them are young and can learn, Canales included. I remember Norv Turner trying to throw the ball around the yard in a certain SuperBOWL, going in at halftime down 13-6. Emmitt Smith said get me the d*mn ball and took over in the 2nd half. Remember Kyle Shanahan in the 2nd half vs. the Patriots? This shite happens to the best and the brightest. We are just actively seeing it play out in real time just like Atlanta and Dallas fans before us.  Also, not saying Canales is going to become either of those, just begging/hoping for our sanity he gets his shite together if he's going to be our HC.
