What numbers does Bridgewater have to produce for us not to draft a QB next year??

It’s more about the Ws. If it’s 7+, he’s probably played enough, but more importantly you’re likely drafting too late to  get someone who projects as a step up.

Agreed. Teddy's individual stat line won't matter nearly as much as his wins and loses.  Even a pedestrian season for his individual stats may get us enough wins to forego the #1 or #2 pick.  At that point would the #3 QB in the draft be any better than Teddy?   Who knows?

W-l is a team stats.. If he has a game manager season and the surrounding cast miraculously is better then most of us think.. I would still want another QB.. If he puts up good individual numbers but the defense fails him then he might prove he deserves a better surrounding cast.  That is the point of the question.. What would Teddy Have to do individually to prove he is the QB of the future..

Agreed on “team stat” point, but crucially, it’s said “team stat” that may well prevent the Panthers from acquiring an upgrade in next year’s draft.

It depends on the win-loss record. If we're in a position to draft Lawrence or Fields, there's no question we do it.

This question doesn't.. If the team wins inspite of TB's play then we're screwed.. We're stuck with a game manager unless we can maneuver our way up to one of the top QB'S... That would also mean the team is way better then we thought..  But since we're on the hypothetical side of things.. Another hypothetical is TB has great individual numbers but the team sucks... In that case what would those numbers have to be for you not to take a QB next year??

That is a hypothetical situation..

I'm asking you in the inverse version of that situation.. Where the defense sucks and the team has a bad W-l record due to new coaching, new scheme, and bad defense.. But Teddy and the offense puts up good numbers.. What would those individuals numbers have to be for you to want to build around TB instead of drafting a QB next year??

4500 yards, 40 td and 10 or less to. Deep ball completion % solid to good. Overall completion percentage of 65-70%.

Carolina would still be drafting a QB in 2021 even with the above.

I totally disagree.. But if that's your opinion..cool..

PS.. If he is close to putting up those numbers in a losing season.. That top 5 pick becomes a trade asset for me..JMO..

I wonder how the fanbase would feel if Cam came back, put up those numbers and the FO still drafted a QB? Ummm not good.
