The Panthers worked out Jehuu Caulcrick, who has spent some time with the New York Jets, and Jerome Johnson, who went through the preseason with the St. Louis Rams.

I know most everyone here, including myself was hoping for Lorenzo Neal, but they havent signed anyone yet. So maybe they will call him in for a workout.

i mentioned this in one of the other threads talking about the FB situation.

seems they were trying to look at the cheaper options today so they might look at the more pricey ones tomorrow.

regardless, they aren't 100% happy with their options in house.

Why would our FO want Johnson a college OLB when Sotherland is just is cheap? He was one of the best FB in college. He played 3 years there and really excelled in all the things you want from a FB (Blocking, Short Yardage Pounder, and Receiving). Check out this draft video.

PS Quoting myself from another thread.

    • There probably isn’t an orthopedic surgery that has had more improvement in technique and outcomes over the last two decades than the acl repair. Because of its importance in pro sports and the sheer number that surgeons do there have been lots of opportunities to practice 1. Better techniques - arthroscopic v open surgery means people heal faster  2. More training - all sports med surgeons have tons of experience doing them 3. better imaging - later generations of mri are more sensitive  4. better therapy - PTs have gotten better at rehabbing them and the theories of rehab have improved a lot. No idea about brooks in particular tho, but I’d describe that overall situation as “not great”
    • If Freeling or either of the Utah OTs dropped to 19 I'd be more than happy honestly. Our OT situation isn't great with an aging Moton at RT and a mess of a situation at LT if Walker goes down at any point in time.  What I'm expecting the Panthers to do is probably draft another weapon like Sadiq or KC Conception. That's been their track record in drafting R1 thus far. None of the defensive talent projected to be around 19 stands out to me. Unless they just want to draft a LB early (Rodriguez,  CJ Allen, Anthony Hill, Jake Gollday).
