It's been argued many times that the NFL would benefit greatly from having a "minor league". That's what The World League was meant to be, but they mixed in their ridiculous desire to make the sport go worldwide and wound up locating it on the wrong continent.

I've long believed that the XFL's best chance of success was to become that very thing, work with the NFL rather than trying to compete against them.

Not much chance of that now. And if we're being honest, Vince McMahon's ego probably never would have allowed that to happen anyway.

Same here with partially watching... was actually going to pay more attention and watch when they were in the playoffs etc.  I also like the thought of another league because it gives players a place to develop, get playing time etc and feed some good players back into the NFL.
