If the Panthers move the stadium along with their operations to SC, will any of you jump ship to another team since they would no longer have any ties to NC?

It's still the Carolina Panthers.

You Charlotte city voters need to think about this

your city council as it sits is cluless

Council is totally controlled by one party.  Not a good situation.  Vast majority of council completely unqualified to do the job at hand.

I don't believe Tepper will ever move the stadium out of North Carolina. Charlotte? Maybe, but I wouldn't bet on that either.

He's serious about building that two state fanbase, and hey, why not?

Ah, ok, I see what happened there.  The reason everyone is pissed is because Tepper didn't just buy the land for the facility.  He bought all the land around it as well, and then got that land included in the tax breaks.  Basically, he can now develop or sell that land and it's at a competitive advantage over any other area in the county.

This is also now Teppers leverage when he wants to build a new stadium.  He "could" now build it in York county.  Sure, I think it's a mistake and he'll learn what the Knights learned.  The question is will the city and county leaders have the balls to call his bluff when he tries to use it.

He didn't buy all the land (1100 acres) but it was written that if he does buy the additional land, he would receive the tax breaks on it.  But you can be assured that at some point he will for future development.  As the article states, with the tax break, he will be able to develop this land cheaper than anyone else can.  If he has the resources to develop 1100 acres in Rock Hill, I am sure most folks will be all for it.  The amount of jobs 3-5 years of construction create are huge, not to mention the permanent jobs it will create when finished.

Tepper is spending massive amounts of money to make even more money...which this economy can certainly use right now.

Thing is most people don’t understand that many stadiums are not actually in the city that is on their logo, so placing the Carolina Panthers in York eventually would not be an issue for 99% of the NFL fans in the league...the only butt hurt fans would be people in Charlotte that have been confused into believing they have an NFL team and actually believe the name of it is the CHARLOTTE Panthers...lol.

I mean the Dolphins have not played one game in Miami for 30 plus years lol...but I bet 99% of the NFL fans don’t even know that.
