Ummm...

16/35 for 145 yards 0 TDs and an INT in a 31-14 loss to the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns

He needs to put up better numbers than that to be considered fringe draftable.

I concur. Wasn’t a good look for him yesterday. I did not mention Iowa State starts out slow. Iowa State almost lost to SDSU last year the first game.

When your team doesn’t have the talent to make the Playoffs, nor the Super Bowl. Yes it is. Sorry to tell ya, boss. In America, we award teams for tanking. This isn’t European Soccer, boss.

Please name for me all the NFL teams that were rewarded for tanking by drawing a direct line between the time they tanked and the Super Bowl victory found in their immediate future.

What teams have been rewarded for tanking?

Panthers 2010-2011 rewarded by getting Cam Newton. Made the Super Bowl with him. Wasn’t immediate, but nothing ever is in the NFL.

You conveniently ignore the key word victory in my statement. Also I think any evidence that the Panthers deliberately tanked is highly contrived and subjective. I don't think they sucked on purpose, I think they just sucked.

Oh, they sucked on purpose. Lame duck coach, roster was garbage going into the season. Panthers weren’t going to win poo that season. We all knew it in the offseason.

The coach was lame duck for sure, but if you think Marty Hurney actually drafted Clausen in the second freaking round as some sort of a deliberate tanking move, then you are giving Hurney way too much credit. They played Clausen because they legitimately felt he was the future, not because they were tanking. Fox was checked out and at that point didn't GAF. Just because fans knew the team would be awful doesn't mean the people making the decisions deliberately intended to be awful. Pretty much no GM does that if he wants to keep his job. Owners make their money by keeping butts in the seats, and tanking does not keep butts in the seats.

Honestly, all of it.

For the first time since 2010, we're going into a season watching a team not coached by Ron Rivera.

Going beyond even that, the people who are running the team are pretty much total wild cards.

So basically, I've cleared my cache, deleted my cookies, and I'm ready for some input.

Yeah, but Tepper sent a letter out to the PSL’s this year saying it’s going to take sometime to be competitive again. So.....
