Said before, I'm just not convinced that Lawrence is going to be as good a pro as he is a college player. I'll probably get ripped for that but that's my feeling.

The others I don't know as much about yet.

It reminds me of the Luck/Cam debate we had before JR's "Pie Chart" presser sent Luck back to school (my theory-but it was just before they had to declare--and we see a crazy man with a hand-drawn pie chart talking gloom and doom)

If we don’t land one of the top 3 qbs this draft I’m going to be very worried about our future. I would trade up a bit for lance. Nothing insane but to move up a couple spots I would do it.

Without this season to see more of him, it would be a high-risk move--I like him a lot though, and would do it.  What I would do means little to absolutely nothing.

People talk about boom or bust but this dude lance is a perfectionist. You can see it with his mechanics as a redshirt freshman. He complains to the media when they don’t score 60 points or if he leaves plays out on the field or if he misses reads. He is a competitor. And he wants to prove people wrong. The big schools wanted to move him to safety so he chose NDSU. His mechanics are ridiculous for a redshirt freshman. His ceiling is so high with the right coaching. Too much talent and “want.”  If we have the right staff this guy is gonna be a stud. I would do it. Like I said nothing insane because we need draft capital to continue building but we desperately need a franchise qb.

if it took something insane. I would continue building the team up and hope for another qb prospect down the road. It’s hard to win consistently with game managers. You can find magic one year with enough talent. But we want consistent playoff runs. Franchise qbs give you that.

Teddy is a solid QB.  You don't need a Peyton Manning to win a superbowl as evidenced by him only having 2 rings, 1 given to him.

Coach Rhule is a great evaluator of talent.  Let's build other pieces instead of putting all our hope on drafting the next Peyton Manning.

Funny how the QB thing has played out:

A five-star recruit from Georgia selects Clemson over Georgia.

Haskins beats out Burrow at Ohio State--Burrow goes to LSU.

Fields then goes from Georgia to Ohio State, where he becomes a stud QB.

Newman goes to Georgia from Wake.

I am so confused.

It just goes to show that some guys just need an opportunity! I salute the guys for believing in themselves!

To hell with Lawrence for going to Clemson though...
