You realize, of course, that if we did that for two weeks, the Pandemic would end. The whole, "this will go on forever" talk ironically comes exclusively from the people who demand to go out and continue to spread it.

i'm not talking about covid prevention generally, because people like you are unreachable. I'm talking specifically about the nfl. 

in the short term a breakout among nfl teams would just cripple the product, and it would guarantee a virus reservoir that would last the entire season. imagine the super bowl being decided just by what team has the most uninfected players. 

in the long term, the nfl is exposing itself to ridiculous liability, and this is a league already that's staring at a cliff in upcoming years about concussion lawsuits. And any lawyer has a slam dunk case because the NFL has ALREADY shown it's not going to follow its own guidelines.

we did that here, and it worked. we had some cases creep in from the southern boarder with india, which is a giant grease fire now. the country was shut down for three weeks while they traced everyone affected, and now we’re back to normal.

a large pain for a short amount of time will go a long way to stopping this drawn out nightmare the US is in now.
