News on Joe Brady

I really like Bieniemy, but it's not like he's without his concerns. Andy Reid runs that offense, everyone knows that. And Bieniemy has some concerning history off the field (all 20+ years old, but as we've seen the media likes to run with these things, and "accusers" can pop up out of nowhere decades later and get the world to turn on someone). I wanted to hire Bieniemy here last year if we didn't get Rhule, and my mind hasn't changed on him, but I can definitely see why some teams may be hesitant with him.

As for Brady, NFL teams are just completely stupid. Look at the Kingsbury and Zac Taylor hires. The success of guys like McVay and now LaFleur has teams going crazy to try to find the next very young, bright offensive minds. Brady fits that bill and it's been a trend the last several years. I think it's retarded, but it's not a race thing if Brady gets hired before EB.

But that's exactly what I'm saying. Because he's a minority his past will be the only thing brought up while ignoring his accomplishments. It's the old oh he's a thug or you know how those people are argument while hiring the good white boy who has little experience but is the right color. It's why still almost 100% of coaches are the good white boys while black Black coaches hardly make it past a assistant.

Tell that to Harvey Weinstein and Matt Patricia for example... it’s got nothing to do with race

Not to mention the fact that the poo being brought up is all pretty old news.

For whatever else there is, at least part of the problem for Bieniemy is he's in the same position as guys like Pete Carmichael.

Fair or not, ehen you work under an acknowledged coaching genius, everybody questions how much of it is actually you vs them.

Matt Nagy probably didn't do him any favors on that front.

Jesus stop making my point. For one both got off easy. For Patricia he was a head coach. Look what happened to Kaepernick for taking a knee but Patricia is accused of rape and nothing. But a fact I bet you don't know is that the death penalty has been used on black males for rape more than any other race. I promise you if Patricia or Weinstein were black one would have lost his job the other executed.

Exactly, he's a brilliant mind, a Super Bowl tested OC and yet Joe Brady has just as much of a shot. How sus can you get.

Didn't seem to effect Doug Peterson.

My point was about it becoming a thing in the media which brings bad PR to the team. That’s it. The Patricia stuff didn’t even come out until after he was hired, and many called for him to be fired then — the Lions didn’t fire him then obviously but either way it became an issue for them.

As far as Weinstein, really? Cosby got less time than him. Chill the fug out dude there is no institutional racism in the NFL. That notion is completely absurd. The off the field history is a concern for teams regardless of the coach’s race. The media doesn’t give a fug about their race and will make it a big deal regardless, because it’s gonna sell stories any time a team’s HC has off the field issues.

And the more important point from my initial post was that it’s completely fair to wonder how good EB is when Reid runs that offense, and they have the best damn QB in the league.

How good is Pederson really, though? Kudos to him for the Super Bowl, but since then, the Eagles have looked like crap.

So if you're looking at the Reid guys who have already gotten jobs, you might be tempted to stop and think.

Now me? I absolutely think the enemy deserves a shot, and I've said before that I think the notion that Joe Brady could get a job before he does is insane.

But with that said, these are the kind of questions that people ask.

I give you examples and you just give me a chill out with all the facts dude nothing to see here. No racism happening because I said so...

Not really my point. I'm just saying if Brady gets a job before someone who has way more experience it's very suspicious.

You can take this to the TB if you’d like, maybe others there can have some fun discussing it. I’ll stick to football from here on out.

Maybe, but lemme ask you this:

Was Matt Rhule more qualified than Eric Bieniemy last year? My answer to that would be no.

So why isn't Bieniemy the Panthers head coach?
