To be fair, although he did have to leave the field to get checked out, Heinicke didn't miss a snap last night.

With that said, durability concerns are legitimate, though you have to look at him as a backup and not a full-time starter.

Why not just use the third round pick that we spent on a QB two years ago to be our backup.

He is not good enough to be a starter. Kyle Allen took his backup spot in 2019 and rightfully so. 

We might as well talk about Garrett Gilbert... maybe we can bring him in. And Cam. And trade for Kyle Allen. And sign Heineke.

Heinecke is a good backup that could pull a good game out of his ass for half or most of a game. Literally 0 chance he could last 3 consecutive games let alone a whole season.
