He's a guy who I think pundits will underrate vs. NFL teams simply because he doesn't make a lot of highlight reel plays. But he does all the little things and he's very reliable. He's a rare guy these days in that he's coming into the league as a true TE and not a jumbo slot WR who is going to have to learn how to play TE.

I’m glad Rhule is getting a good look at him. He seems to have all the tools, just played for Wake. If he looks the part, I would be upset with LT in the 1st and Newman in the 2nd/3rd....

Just scanning the roster for the first time---I think the Panthers' coaching staff will like the following players:

Tre Smith, G Tennessee

Paddy Fisher, LB Northwestern

William Bradley-King Edge Baylor (Because he played at Baylor)

Marvin Wilson, DT Florida State (interesting because they will get to see his work ethic and learn his attitude a bit--he has dropped considerably---why?
