That's the problem with the Watson stuff.

He wanted a say in the coaching staff. The flood gates are open now.

Not quite true...

The Texans offered to let Watson be part of their coaching and GM search. He didn't ask for it.

It was a stupid idea, but they did it. Then they made it worse by not following through on their promise.

It’s not unheard of for players to have roster input. 

Reid said Mahomes had a big say in the  Chiefs 1st round pick last year.

Jay Cutler was involved in head coach interviews.

I know Cam had a hand in recruiting some FA signings.

The precedent is there. Wilson just wants to take it another step. 

Asking a guy "hey, what do you think" is fine.

Having them actually be part of the decision making, not so much.

      I will admit this- Kon doesn't look or play like a 19 year. Much bigger and filled out than I thought he was. Plus initiate the offense during his best quarter and he did make some good passes for FG attempts.   I watch NBA years ago and was a top 3 fantasy yahoo managers for years. Many times a player had like 30 points, it mostly came from one or 2 hot quarters. The others were 5 and 0, so his 16 point game is normal in that regard.    If Ball, bridges, and Miller allow Kon to be apart of the team, just depends on if he clicks of not. Another generic white guy comp popped in my head........he of hornet lore-Gordon Hayward 15 points 5 rebs 3.5 asst Maybe??

      Especially with no other major sports in the area other than UNCW basketball and soccer. It's a good 2 1/2 hour drive just to catch a collegiate football game. If this new arena were built I would hope it also includes an Adult League - I would join up and time allowing would be more than happy to help coach some youth teams. 😄
