Hurney is fired, you are named interim GM ...

Delhomme out. Obvious, let's see where Matt Moore fits in.

Julius Peppers. Not a part of this team going forward, plays when he wants to, fugged the entire organization in the offseason-Hurney is equally culpable in this however. Let the kid DEs get some work.

Nail Diggs. Let's see what Dan Connor has.

Rhyss LLoyd. 2 kickers is a joke. I let Kasay finish the year out of respect for his accomplishments as a Panther, then next season it's game on for one spot.

Jeff King. Barnidge starts, we must have a vertical threat full time at tight end.

The team is so talented at almost every position and thats why the season is so frustrating. But Delhomme would definitely get the ax and that one is pretty self explanatory. Moose is getting up there in age and has the heir apparent in Jarret behind him. Lloyd is just eating up a roster spot. His job is to kick touch backs and he only does so like 50%. The last two are tough. I would say Godfrey because Martin is playing so much better but I would like to see Godfrey have a shot at corner. If he was just as bad he gets the ax. And my surprise cut would be Diggs. He is ultra dependable and does his job to the tee but with the depth at LB I think we could get a more explosive player in that spot. He would be the hardest cut though.

Moose - Receiving corp has looked fine without him

Godfrey - Outplayed by Martin

Lloyd - Not enough touchbacks to warrant the extra roster spot for a kicker

Jake - Clearly isn't the QB of the future. We have to find out if Matt Moore is going to be the guy or if we need to look elsewhere.

I think we're good everywhere else

    • It would depend on how we lost... If we lose a bunch of 17-13 . 20-7 type games where the defense plays well and offensively Bryce is sh***TING the bed...then he wouldn't get fired.  If we are losing 40-9, 38-14 type games..then yeah it's a possibility.   Couple that with our tough schedule.. if we show well in lets say half those games.. win either Seattle or New England game, at least 1 win vs division oponents.. he's good.  So imo.. to get fired he needs to : Loose badly against the top tier teams ie Blown out Show no progress offensively from last year. Show an unwillingness to bench Bryce again if he is horrible over multiple games ..  Get swept by the Saints again.
    • I think he's gone, and rightfully so, if he turns in another losing record. The "talented roster," regardless of how true or not, is a double-edged sword. If the roster is so much improved now from 202X then why are you still producing losing seasons? On one hand, maybe that's what needs to happen. Have the GM hire the new coach, and then have the new coach pick his guy to run his system. That is typically how it works in the NFL. Not the forced inheritance deal we have had in place.
    • Hinging on Brooks to be our spark...be good if it happens... but not holding my breath....RB next draft. Morgan gambled...it would be a 2 year payoff if thing happened.
