Because he doesn't want to be here and there is mutual interest to facilitate a trade.

Nonsense.

Teddy only has one option to get paid -- and that's to collect on the ironclad contract he has in place with the Carolina Panthers.

There is no chance TB5 is going to let the richest owner in the NFL off the hook, you're kidding yourself if you think otherwise.

They would convert it to a signing bonus so we would take the hit on the trade. His pay would not go down.

If Teddy gets paid in full that's one thing...

...but the other poster is suggesting TB5 will miraculously give the $14-billion man a discount for all sorts of fabricated/nonsensical reasons...

You all did hear that Jake Delhomme and Steve Beuerlein think Teddy should stay.

Now, you have to take into consideration that both were backups given a starting job here, so they are bringing it from that perspective.

All the armchair QB's know better...😅🤣😂🤭

You still guaranteeing Deshaun Watson will be the Panthers starter in 2021?

You have a creepy obsession with Watson. He is not a Panther and may not be a NFL player much longer. Move on and find something else to talk about...

    • Btw... only Mitch fugging Marner has a better +/- than Key 🔑!!! And, Mitchy needed 5 more games and almost 100 more shifts to get there.
    • I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.
    • Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
