We can't bottom dwell any longer and NOT get A QB. Plenty of choices not in the top 4 who could end up being better than their peers, Kyle Trask, for instance.

A player has to play to win but they can be managed and should be.

I don't know how you look at the Washington game and see a game where we put everything into it to win.  Hell, the game was disturbingly close despite Washington trotting out one of the worst QBs in the NFL last year.  Burns and Brown played their lowest or among their lowest snap counts on defense.  On offense, Davis and Samuel had some of their lowest usage all year. This wasn't a team going all out to win the game.  But you need to let young players get SOME experience and you don't want to be obnoxiously obvious about tanking when people are fighting for their next paycheck, either.
