Who is letting him walk? Where the hell are you coming up with this right now? He’s not going anywhere.

Ummm, we can offer a contract, that's the most we can do... He isn't obligated to accept it. Again, I'm sure the jags made a hell of an offer to Allen Robinson years ago. How did that turn out? Teams will line up to give DJ the bag with the production he's had. Don't be naive

Because teddy is awful and I'm thinking bigger picture. The consequences and ramifications of stalling this out another year. You did see Allen Robinson leave the jags right? Because I'm sure they would have loved having him back .

If you are thinking bigger picture then it’s pretty obvious trading 3+ first round picks a year into a rebuild is a bad move... it’s the opposite if bigger picture. It’s short sighted.

Rebuilding teams don’t trade all their assets a year into a rebuild with a new coaching staff and GM. That is the opposite of “bigger picture”

I am thinking bigger picture when I keep telling people this is gonna take awhile

Franchise him for a year??? That's cool I guess. Like what are we talking about

You are the one suggesting a rebuilding team throw 3+ first rounders at an unproven rookie a year into the real rebuild with a new staff and GM. As though that’s what’s gonna keep DJ Moore here.

what are we talking about indeed. This board has lost all sense. Selling the farm for a rookie QB is not how successful teams rebuild. Period

Ok, you can have Darnold for a 3rd.

The fact that you made that joke thinking it was funny shows you aren't a panther fan. Darnold is night and day better then bridgewater and it's not close. We would take him and the joke would be on you

    • Cheers OP. I wanted TMac to be the pick and was so excited, and surprised, when his name was called.    Last year, I wanted one of the Xaviers, Worthy or Legette. So Dan has been delivering on my wish lists. Now I hope it pays off over the next few years.    With our trade up last year into the first, we could have a dynamic WR duo on cost-controlled contracts for 4 years.
    • Yea I have it.  When it flares it can be very severe.  I had an extended hospitalization a couple years ago and it took a while to recover.  Can’t imagine trying to deal with that as a pro athlete.  It’s hard enough as a desk jockey.
    • I think the difference is that The Golden Calf of Bristol and Cam were just big personalities with big time talent (The Golden Calf of Bristol just lacked any consistency, leading to most of us hating him because it felt like he pulled big plays out of his ass). Sanders is a good talent who is completely full of himself and the ego feels unearned. You should WANT to change the bad culture of the losing franchise you expect to go to as a top pick...but that's a thing you keep to yourself or articulate well enough that it doesn't come off as "we're doing poo my way, if you don't like that, don't draft me".  You don't create an entire room touting yourself as legendary when you did absolutely nothing legendary at the collegiate level. Nobody is going to be fondly remembering Shadeur Sanders the college QB. Johnny Football is there, Cam is there, Vince Young is there, RGIII is there, The Golden Calf of Bristol is there.   Sanders needs humility and to pry himself away from his father. His father is going to tank his career before it is even started.    Sanders may bounce around the league as a backup for a few years, he'll play in select games and look like a backup but he'll have that one game where he pops off and that game will be used to say "see?! He's great!" and then he'll get the start and never live up to that game again.
