Eh, the refs played their part in this one. But, they didn't give up 4 goals in regulation to the fugging Red Wings.

Defense looked bad without Fleury and Mraz is still getting his legs back under him.

Very disappointing loss with a golden opportunity to put some distance between themselves and TB, FL.

Giving up 4+1 to the Wings? Really? And, for what it's worth, I really thought RBA was going to play Ned last night. Oh well, hindsight.

Ya, especially with Nashville, TB and Florida again coming up. 
 

I was not happy with the defense combos. I don’t know if your thought would have run better or if Gardiner is that big of an issue. But it’s been a while since we’ve given up 4 much less 5 goals.

Hopefully, tomorrow night is a revenge game that I'll be able to enjoy. Decided to spring for tickets with the reduced crowds and it being a Monday night and Staal's 1000th game.

Think we may see Ned tomorrow?

Ned or Reim they might give Mrazek a revenge game though. But I know we still need to get Ned starts for RFA.

I hope so. We still need him to start,  what, 8 more games? Maybe Rod gives Reimer a go to keep him in shape, a la Gardiner. But, I can't see it. 

And with 4 regulation goals in 2 of his 3 starts vs DET this season, I wouldn't even think about putting Mraz back out there against the Ford Family Feudal Colony.
