Panthers war room for the draft will be in the 300 level at Bank of America Stadium. They will have 10 people, which means all are fully vaccinated, per NFL policy for this year's draft. Masks will not be required, physical distancing will be relaxed and eating/drinking allowed.

Scott Fitterer says they've talked to at least five teams about moving back and that there will be more calls this week. He says it will depend on how the board falls.

Panthers GM Scott Fitterer says the team has narrowed the draft board from a couple thousand prospects to about 155.

The Panthers have first-round grades on 16 players, per Fitterer.

Scott Fitterer says the deepest positions are corner, tackle and receiver on their draft board.

*press corner to be specific

In potentially trading back, Scott Fitterer said they don't want to go past a certain point where the talent level drops off one of those top tier guys. In his introductory press conference, Fitterer said that's around 16, 17, 18 or 19.

Scott Fitterer asked if there is a QB among the top players that they feel best fits the team.

"Yes."

Followed by laughter between Rhule and Fitterer.

Man, Matt Rhule is looking rough these days. For the last few months he's had the consistent look of never sleeping.

He looks hungover lol.  But I agree, he’s looked increasingly rough as time has gone on.  It’s a hard ass job.

    • I love Chubba.  Been a fan since I heard about his story when he was at Ok St.  and no doubt his production and progression is impressive, but this is my one nitpick - he was always touted for his speed, having come from a track background, so I am honestly surprised he doesn’t have more breakaway runs for TDs than what he has achieved thus far.  But to be fair, it often feels like he is constantly having to break tackles, so when he breaks the last one where it would just be nothing between him and the end zone, that usually took long enough that a defender from the opposite side of the field got an angle to catch up.  I really hope with the receiver additions, Bryce moving forward with confidence and proving that ending stretch last season wasn’t an aberration, and another year of synergy for the OL, Chubba is gonna have some wide open running this season.  He is definitely special.  Proud of him and happy he is getting rewarded for all his hard work…
    • Didn't i say passing other cars?
    • If you're in the left lane, look to the right. Is there someone beside you? Are you soon overtaking someone in the right lane immediately ahead of you? No and no? Then get the fug over. That's how it's supposed to work. Doesn't matter if you're going 100.
