Fitterer had trade down offers, but he wanted Horn so badly that he stayed put.

Because if our front office was big on Horn, there was no way he was making it past 12 (and a good chance not past 10 with Dallas). There honestly isn't another corner in the draft with comparable press coverage and man-to-man skills as Horn.

With a trade down we still could have taken an excellent CB. Then in the second round we could go Levi Onwuzurike AND Levon Moehrig. Think about that defense.

Miami could have still gotten waddle at 8 while picking up our third and we get our franchise LT

I think Detroit would have taken Waddle at 7 if they did that

They already said they had 16 players with first round grades.  Why would they want to trade back to 20?
