Landon Johnson and James Anderson are horrible against the run. Even so if we can sell out on the run and get them to throw... early Christmas! INTS all round.

Fun Stats #1: Interceptions

Panthers are tied for 6th in defense for Interceptions with 11, 1 returned for touchdown

Miami sits tied in 12th with with 8 interceptions, 1 returned for touchdown

Panthers offense is 3rd in the league for Interceptions, with 14 interceptions thrown

Miami meanwhile is 21st with only 6 interceptions thrown

Panthers have two players (Marshall and Martin) who have 3 apiece, while Miami tops out with two players tied with two apiece (Allen and Davis. All in all, 6 Panthers have hauled in an interception, same number of players as Miami has with that stat.

Fun Stats #2: Fumbles

The Panthers and Dolphins are nearly identical in every Offensive rushing stat except one - Fumbles. Panthers have 10, Miami has 3. Can't tell you how many of those were lost, but you can definately tell that the turnover ratio falls in Miami's favor here.

However, this is clearly an issue that has improved since the start of the season for the Panthers.

How is Miami's rushing defense?

8th rushing defense, giving up only 97 yards per game. 26th ranked passing defense though.

Almost a reverse of Carolina's statistics, 24th rushing and 7th passing.

Carolina has the better overall defensive rating though, ranked 13th to Miami's 19th.

Wasn't Arizona ranked number 1 against the run until they played us. I remember Tampa last year was top 5 until we blew them up at home.

Wasn't Arizona ranked number 1 against the run until they played us. I remember Tampa last year was top 5 until we blew them up at home.

The only stat I remember from that Tampa game was that they had only given up one rushing TD all season long and then gave up 4 on national television.
