QB Controversy

I dont know about the other poster, but I was sold once I saw the defense literally play better just because the QB played better. We talk about the 2nd half of the season & the defense, but it started with the Detroit lions game, that was the heel turn. PJ Walker came with that energy and the defense responded. Laugh if yall want,  but if matt rhule kept PJ walker in for the rest of the 2020 season? 9/10 wins.

that part...

it's contagious

What made you like him randomly over Teddy that you were sold on this guy by seasons end?

I liked him coming out of the XFL, like Fitterer said his style of play...

Corey Miller went on WFNZ/Bailey yesterday and said he's seen nothing to indicate Sam is an upgrade over Teddy...

...Corey played in the league, he should know.

We'll see in the regular season. He was a checkdown king in preseason similar to Teddy. Smitty called him out numerous times for taking a 6-8 yard completion instead of targeting an open WR downfield.

I agree, for now. Regular season will start and we will see how things go. For a lot of us we were happy to see the offense with Darnold in charge shortly but when the real defenses are out there, will he challenge teams downfield? That’s what I disliked about Teddy. Hoping Sam takes more shots.

I’m not sure what Sam is yet. I’m confident PJ ain’t it. We saw him in the regular season last year with Curtis, DJ and Robbie and he went 1:5. Before judging Sam id like to see him with those same weapons.

Context is important. yes, interceptions were made, but that saints game you're referring to where the oline pretty much gave up, pj walker was thrown in last and made to play hero ball for a game that was already lost. I don't hold the saints game against pj walker.

He lost the fight in direct 1-on-1 competition...

I believe broncos are just trying to put themselves in a better draft position, maybe i'm wrong but i don't know how teams expect to win with just checkdown's.
