Taco Bell wants you to mail your trash to them

Taco Bell wants their customers to MAIL back their used ... or extra... hot sauce packets instead of throwing them away to go to a landfill. The theory is to help cut down on the 8 billion pounds of used sauce packets that go into US landfills every year.

• Customers sign up for a TerraCycle account
• collect empty sauce packets into a recyclable container
• print a free shipping label from TerraCycle's website
• ship the box back via UPS.

What could go wrong?

Yeah they need to target the teens for this to produce any results whatsoever. If they aren't promising ps5 giveaways then they will get a total of 12 sauce packets back lol

A Walmart out here used to offer a raffle ticket for every cart you brought back inside from outside. The prize was a $250 GC, a $100 GC, and a $50 GC every other week. Worked great. Was never a cart outside. So naturally they ditched the idea. Why use your greeter to hand out tickets when you can hire cart runners.

In my day we called them “courtesy clerks”.
