Offensive Line

Honestly they did a lot better than I expected, but Sam Darnold and CMC made them look better than the numbers indicate. They gave up 11 pressures but luckily Sam released the ball quickly and only gave up 1 sack as a result.

Pat Elflein gave up 4 pressures himself.

It’s hard to expect a high powered consistent  offensive production if the offensive line doesn’t improve

And he did that while also missing time lol

Pat has got to go as a starter. One thing that did stand out today as well, and they mentioned it on the radio after show, our short yardage push is a big red flag. Every time when we needed it, we failed. This is a trend from the Steelers pre season game, so I hope it does not continue. 11 pressures is still concerning against better teams it may get ugly.

With that being said, I was at the game today, and fugging happy that we beat the breaks off the Jets to get opening day win. Side note……when was the last time we one the first game at home? Dallas?)

    • From my what I have seen the overwhelming majority of people who are considering the notion a possibility don't really want to see it happen but are considering so for a number of reasons. Most importantly availability. Secondly even when he plays the last few seasons he has been red hot or ice cold. Then there is the subject of his defense which to say the least leaves a lot to be desired. Then there is the image of Ball inactive laughing it up on the sideline (while our team was getting the doors blown off) with previous busts who are now relegated to hanging on by a thread in the g league. I think we should be able to recognize with the team going out of their way to put a very strong emphasis on culture and leadership with the conclusion of this years draft that they expect LaMelo to lead the way this upcoming season and that begins with making significant strides and trending in a positive direction in the aforementioned aspects above. It just has to happen.
    • Ppl want to trade Melo? Am I wrong for thinking that would be a bad idea?
    • Some of you act like one can't learn from experience over time. Just because you may not know what you're doing in 2018 doesn't mean that you don't know what you're doing in 2025. Frankly, you grow from experience, and success and excellence gives first-time applicants the hand probably 99.999% of the time.
