Argument against starting Matt Moore...

Because Matt Moore hasn't proven anything, duh!
 Ummm what do you call 2-1 record as starter in 2007. Wheather he was playing a team of backups are not. 2-1 is proof enough for me to start him. Plus some people keep forgetting the reason Jake Got this 4 year contract extension was because Peppers sorry a$$ would not do a long term contract. Therefore Hurney was force to extend Jake contract to free up cap so we could have money to get a few FAs to help out this team. So most of this blames falls on peppers and hurney.

Whoever the QB is, he needs to hand the damn ball to Deangelo 30 times a game. That includes when we're in the red zone. I'm not arguing for or against Jake.
:dupe: My question at this point our playoff hopes is out the window. Dwill is well over a 1000 yards for the season. Why keep running Dwill in the ground game after game and risky him getting hurt and riskying him missing all of next season with a MLC tear are something like. When I watch Moore play in 07 and when I saw moore throw one time this season. The oline seems to protect moore a whole lot better. I truly believe if moore was start that oline would protect him so much better. And plus Moore is alot more mobile then Jake aswell. So I am saying go with moore and see what he can do. But I really think we not be running Dwill into the ground anymore this season. He has done his job. Let Dwill carry as usual but don't push him no more then they have to. Let stewart and Goodson carry some aswell.

Lets hear it....

It's well known that I'm in favor of it. But with that said I don't really know that it would have helped last night.

From here on out? Yeah, but unless Jake has another meltdown game it's not likely to happen, and the reins they have on him are designed to prevent that.

No, he won't lose a game for you playing in the setup they have now, but in reality he won't win one for you either.

I don't think I like the idea of resting our best talent (Dwill) because we are losing. I still would like to try to win every game the rest of this season. 8-8 or 9-7 would be great. Put the best talent on the field and play to win the game. It's not like we have a first round pick to play for anyway. Deangelo would have scored had he been in on the goal line offense during that first series. Give your best player the ball.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
