I apologize for trying to find some bright spots, I know that is not a good fit among all doom and gloomers. I would appreciate to keep this relatively free of negativity as there are plenty of threads for that:

1) Really happy with Cam’s play today. A lot to build on as he gets the full playbook down. Looked in control and played smart.

2) Really impressed by CJ Henderson’s tackling, his supposed weak spot. He got beat on one play, but looked really good overall. Excited to follow his progress now that he’s back from his shoulder injury.

3) From what I could tell Brady Christensen looked pretty decent at LT. He moves really well. Would like some more input on this as I just casually focused on him on a couple of plays.

A bad loss, but I’m pretty excited overall moving forward as our defense matches up pretty well with most teams moving forward, Gilmore getting more up-to-speed, Horn coming back for the playoffs(?) and the offense continue to progress under Cam.

Yeah there was one pass in particular to DJ where Cam threw it low so he could catch it and avoid getting destroyed. Really good stuff.

We would have been annihilated. Defense shat the bed today. We need a MLB and some DE's who can play more against these power run teams. Idk what to think of Brady's playcalling. Cam should get even better as the weeks go on. Cheers for leaving him in all game -- I wasn't expecting that. I don't think we're going to the playoffs, but I'm still hopeful for the future if they can keep Cam for next year!

      I read that Pittsburgh is a possibility.  I think of college QB studs who had some form of mental quirk yet tons of talent--but their issue made being a team leader difficult and it led to their demise--going back:  Jamarcus Russell, Art Schlichter, Jeff George, etc. I think people forget that the QB must not only have talent, but they must lead.

      I wish I knew more details, but the NIL money to 20-year olds combined with easy access to gambling sites is a side effect that these kids may not have considered.  To your point,A famous 2009 Sports Illustrated article titled “How (and Why) Athletes Go Broke” estimated that 78% of retired NFL players go bankrupt or face significant financial stress within two years of leaving the league.  I am guessing that ego and $$$ and the thrill of competition (most pro athletes love competition because they are the winners) makes it a powerful temptation.  Throw in the ease of gambling on your phone which is always in your hand, and I see your point x 10.

      Freeling got some reps at RT when they gave Moton a rest day--I sorta hope Freeling gets brought along slowly as you describe.  It would be better for him for reasons you provide.  We have a really good problem.
