these 2 are nothing but clowns who could not call a great game if their sad lives depended on it.

1.Jeff Davidson being the idiot he is does not uses Williams enough. He wants jake to throw the ball near 40 times a game.It makes me sick.Run the Ball you stupid moron thats what we build to do.

2.Ron Meeks's Defense is soft as a baby's bottom.Any good qb could pick that defense apart.

can we get rid of dumb ass fans and ignorant, no-nothing posters too?

I hope you get fired so you can't afford to be this stupid

So you want to get rid of yourself? just kidding

:P

If this happened their would only be one person on this message board and only a few dozen at any given Panther game.

Jake's passing attempts per game this year - 28.7 (21st in the league)

Jake's passing attempts per game last year - 25.8 (21st in the league)

Not exactly 40 attempts per game, is it?

Panthers' rushing attempts per game this year - 32.0 (4th in the league)

Panthers' rushing attempts per game last year - 31.5 (6th in the league)

Jakes passing attempts per 4th quarter - 9.3

Williams rushing attempts per 4th quarter - 4.4

Stewart rushing attempts per 4th quarter - 2.7

Jakes attempts when down only 1-8 points - 108

Williams rushes when down only 1-8 points - 47

Stewart rushes when down only 1-8 points - 30

The issue isn't the balance. When we're winning we run the ball. As soon as we start losing, the balance shifts heavily in favor of pass, even when only down 1 score. The balance is absurd once we get down more than 1 score (63 passes to 17 runs between both backs).

How many times should we have run the ball with less than a minute vs the Dolphins.... or that last drive in the first Atl game? See we can nit-pick all the way around if yo want to.

    • Yeah, honestly being a long-term backup is at least as much about being a good lockerroom presence and accepting your role as a supporting piece and not being a greasy wheel as much as it does about ability. Backup QB requires a completely different mindset than the starter and some guys just can't make that switch. It doesn't make them bad guys or locker room cancers or anything like that, it just makes them not what you're looking for in a long-term backup. You bring in that type of guy to compete. You don't bring in that type of guy if you're not looking for competition.
    • Im saying its Tar Heel fans who would do that. I root for all Panthers to succeed regardless but college affiliation means zero to me
    • We have some good pieces.  Enough to be competitive week to week.  Coaching seems to be improving but they’ve made it much harder on themselves than needed.  There are very good reasons to be optimistic about the future. However, I don’t trust them yet.  Wins are odd looking and mostly ugly.  Our opponents have to have a bad day for us to hang with them.  A lot of that is because we still haven’t figured out the most important position and will continue until it’s solved. I think Morgan has done a nice job in both the draft and FA so far.  He’s getting better each day he’s in that position. As far as the players listed, I’m pretty much in agreement.  XL and Bryce are not performing the way they should at this point.  I will say XL could see more success in a vertical passing attack to better utilize his speed. And as always, Fug Tepper.
