Gaines missed a 1 on 1 with the keeper which could be considered an easy finisher. He’s still got a lot of work to do too. Right now, to me, he’s just fast but he doesn’t always make the best use of it.
Our only consistent attacker is Shinyashiki

Gaines didn't have much choice and was getting closed off by 2 defenders most notably the one coming in from the middle. He couldn't go more left and there was no one to pass to so he took his shot. It took a good save to stop him.

For what it’s worth, we’ve played the second most difficult schedule (behind FC Cincinnati) in the Eastern Conference.

However, we are going to start getting into the easier part of our schedule very soon. Nashville will be a difficult game but after that we have Inter Miami, Toronto, Columbus, D.C. United, and Chicago.

We should be able to pick up some points there.

Agree, seems like all he has is speed which is definitely dangerous to opposing teams.  He needs to put it all together now.

Goallll!!! X2

Fantastic counter by Charlotte and a great low cross by Bender to Ruiz results in a goal followed by a nice 1-2 combination between Bender and Shinyashiki which results in a blast by Shinyashiki outside the 18 that finds the back of the net.

FINAL

Charlotte FC 4 - Nashville 1

Fuchs 26’ Pen

Swiderski 61’ (from Reyna)

Ruiz 89’ (from Bender)

Shinyashiki 90’ + 1’ (from Bender)

    • That’s not a bad idea at all. I was really liking the whole cali-style carne asada. We might do that next week instead of enchiladas for the rams. Was planning on: Saints-Gumbo Tampa-Cuban Sandwiches Seattle- Salmon Stew Tampa- Seafood Boil
    • I agree, honestly you can not trade a player that has Balls talent. Just sitting in street clothes FOR years, it doesn't matter if you are averaging 50points on 88% with 18 rebs, 15 asst, 4 stls if you never can play. These are the worst type of players, teasers. Its HIS JOB to get his body in NBA shape and he has proven that he can not. Thus you break the rule about trading top shelf talent. Hell NBA need to have NFL contracts where the full sum isn't guaranteed, you bet your ass if his money was tied to his playing on the court he'd somehow figure out how to stay healthy.   Plus Im a old head, I member when Seth Curry in his 17(Jesus..) year career had ankle problems and guess what, he solved the issues and got all the money, championships, and fame. Ball doesn't have the same drive to figure out his body, he'd rather drive his car on kids feet while rushing home to drive his go-cart on the roof of his condo after missing his 42nd game of the season.....
