In the next year.

Really all i want is a place to shut the door and watch a movie. I also want a gaming setup.

So surround sound maybe installed, gaming desktop, big ass tv or two, work area. Maybe a small wet/dry bar and a pinball machine.

I'm thinking two TVs so i can watch the game and play X-Box

Any and all advice is needed.

Here's my advice

1. Build your own gaming desktop if you have the know-how, you get much more for your money. You can build a $4,500 Alienware PC for under 1500, without the cool Alienware case of course.

2. Spend the extra money to get an L.E.D. TV they are so nice.

3. Go for a pool table instead of a pinball machine if you have the room, pool is much more fun and in a pinch you can pull some stools up to it and have a makeshift poker table!!

Somebody is loaded.

Work area? Are you really gonna wanna do work in there?

I'm not loaded. I don't know what my budget is going to be yet as I am buying a house. The man cave budget depends on how much house i buy!

As for work, i meant like office work. Nice desk printer etc. And most of the work will be surfing the internet frankly.

So maybe I should have said internet area.

Thanks. The S.O. has enough tech skills that she could do the building.

I recently bought a new house, 4th room FROG turned into the Man-Room.

-46 inch Sharp HD LCD

-Direct TV with NFL Ticket and all movie channels.

-Xbox 360, Wii - with Rockband setup

-Sony receiver with 5 speaker 5.1 Dolby Digital surround sound.

-5 disc Sony DVD player (blu-Ray upgrade whenever they get cheaper)

-Shaper Image Message Chair

-Fooseball Table (full size)

-I built a dartboard set up, a 3x3 corkboard, halogen spotlight shinning on dartboard, old school chalk board for keeping score.

-I built a bar, which I stained and polyed. It measures 10 ft long.

-I found a bunch of unique, hand-painted wooden beer signs from a closed down bar. They are very unique looking. Classy, something that you dont see everyday.

I have 2 crawl space attic access doors located on either side of the room. I am eventually going to run all the wire through the walls. Also, I am going to mount the TV on the wall and hide all the boxes in the closet.

As far as an office, I have converted a room downstairs, I guess it should be a formal living room. I bought a huge U-shape wooden desk. It is quite large, and very nice.

    • Agreed.  Unless a DE is a Julius Peppers type, it takes a couple of years to really develope.  I am hoping we can get one to go with Prince and Scourton.  Or another Interior Dlineman might work as well.
    • Great work Dan. This is the first time in a long time heading into day 1 of the draft that I don’t care which way we go.
    • I don't think it's about Bryce's ego. I think it's about Tepper's. Bryce was Tepper's draft pick. Everything that's been done has been to protect the image.  New HC with a shiny contract fired after he loses interest immediately after he supposedly drafted his guy. He can't make an offense for him because he's the QB that fits his style of offense. Bryce's rookie season is one of the worst in history. It was obvious he wasn't ready. He was named starter without any real camp competition. No real preseason reps. Coach keeps playing him despite terrible play.  A new coach and GM are hired on the condition that Bryce is the guy. No searching for a new QB. It's Bryce or else.  Bryce is benched year 2 for multiple games, replaced by Dalton who stunk it up proving he's washed up, then Bryce comes back in after Dalton injures his thumb and finishes the season. Dalton's contract is up, plenty of younger, higher upside FAs available. Dalton is brought back 2 years guaranteed as a "mentor". Jack Plummer, so bad in 24', brought back to camp in 25' and lo and behold, he's still terrible and has no business being on a field.  Other QBs brought in, the most recognizable being Hooker. All those brought in so bad even the PS can't hold them.  And now, after 3 years of bottom tier QB performance, with Dan saying we need to improve our QB room, we bring in a QB that's not passed for over 2500 yards in either of his 2 seasons as a starter, before he's benched and sent to the life of being a backup.  The common denominator in all of this is there's never been any real competition here, even when it was justified. After last year, it's debatable if he's starting QB material. Good moments and horrific moments. From one minute to the next, you don't know what you're gonna get.  So if you ask yourself why some of us feel bringing in KP is a joke, it's because it looks how it's always looked. That everything being done is to prove that David Tepper was right when he made the choice to draft Bryce and everything done since has been to protect that decision. Bringing in another QB with even the potential to challenge Bryce was always out of the question.
