Glad you chose this time, then. Jalen Duren had a lower FG % and fewer blocks, and barely averaged more points per game despite taking more shots.

Offensive Rating:
Duren 112.6
Williams 142

Defensive Rating:
Duren 91.9
Williams 93.2

Blind as a bat.

LOLOLOLOL please don't compare those two..... Mark Williams was a 5th option unathletic lob threat who was decent in college because of his height. His numbers and percentage may look okay b/c all he did/can do is catch a wide open lob. Duren almost beat the Houston Cougars who were just as good as Duke by himself. Why were teams begging to trade for Duren and not Williams?

Down 42-37 at the half to Indiana.

- Kai Jones looks like an NBA player, his three isn’t falling but he just looks and plays like an NBA player. He’s got 8 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 1 block.

- Nick Richards looks to have improved some, he’s moving with much more fluidity. He has 9 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 block.

- Mark Williams is struggling on offense but he controls both the paint and glass with ease. He has 3 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 block.

- Bryce McGowens is a very active player, he might be a volume shooter right now but if he ever becomes consistent then he’ll be a steal. He has 6 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists.

- JT Thor hasn’t had it tonight and looks out of sorts. He has 2 points and 2 rebounds.

Nice recap. I don't trust how guys look in summer league. Remember those first couple MKG games where he looked like he could play some offense?

    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
