Is the losing Teppers fault?

Recommended Posts

No its not Teppers fault... the league and their rules are crazy... money while it helps is not the fix for all of it... with the closed system it really takes some good moves and luck... This season was buliding a squad and being able to compete... weve done that for the most part... now we upgrade the players that didnt work out and look towards next season... Soccer is worldwide and players that we need are not always available.  I think this time next season is when we can truly tell how we are going to be... look at Austin...

I don’t think it’s his fault because you can’t really spend to win unless you are already in a position to win (like LAFC).

With that said, I think Krneta deserves a lot of blame for the way the season shaped out.

I think this team could have made the playoffs, the depth pieces are there. However, Krneta hired a coach and then brought four or so of his guys in… that coach was ultimately fired and his players are now gone.

This team would have been in a much better position had they gotten the manager position right the first time.

Thank you for the constructive comments.  This is what I was wanting to know Vs children $hitting on every comment.   Yea, I’m new to the game. I only use what I know and that is Tepper being a trash owner.

Like any other sport I think it’s really tough to compete if you don’t get the coaching position right. I’m still not sure that they have that position right, mind you.

    • Exactly.  You let him play out next season and continue to develop Thorton.  Jackson’s earned his next contract, but his age and the risk of tying up such a large portion of the payroll at one position leads me to believe that we’ll let him walk. In all likelihood, we’ll draft another CB, or two, and bring in some journeymen to fill the roster void, between now and the start of the 2027 season.  That’ll create more balance financially across the roster enabling us to invest in other areas.
    • As far as the NFCS … I think this division will be hotly contested the next couple of years.   I am tending to pay more respect to both Atlanta and the Saints n terms of how strong they will be moving forward, than not.    I am mixed on Ryan but think they have a decent roster to start with. I don’t think he blundered hiring Stefanski. And that offense can be dangerous with a QB. Plus, defense is arrow up. No 1st round pick, WB issues will dull their effectiveness. Question is, to what degree?   I think Moore is going to be a good HC and can overcome tape that people have on Shough. They need a lot but they were playing with people. Just the way you want to see all the way to the end.    Not sure about Tampa they have Mayfield but I don’t think they can maintain their success and Bowles is not going to last much longer. They have to go through all that. Gonna be tough once it starts. Might already have started.    For us I feel pretty good about Morgan. But less so about our offense, we have some short term RB and OL issues and those things are critical given what we are working with at QB.  Overall, mixed. Like a lot of what I see but some major question marks remain.
    • Absolutely. If we are talking about a 20 year old youngster. He's a grown-ass man, and he doesn't know what his job entails or how to do it? Maybe he will be better next year! It's the Panther way.
