Moral victories vs. Pessimism

Well, as an ex Browns fan I can tell you all about coping with bad teams.  From the QB T-Shirt, to 1-31, to firing 2 different head coaches after 1 season....  and Panthers ownership has nothing on Jimmy Haslam (who will even stoop to overcharging Pilot/FlyingJ customers just to make balance).  I spent a lot of Sundays fishing, or listening to the broadcast while I was doing other things.  In the end it's just entertainment, my level of investment over the course of the season is determined by the value of that entertainment (at least once I started to keep a better eye on my blood pressure).  One thing I will say, nothing compared to losing the team for 3 years when Model moved the Browns after the mafia came looking for their money.   Not even 1-31.

Moral victory is if Matt Corral was out there and he played lights out knowing we have a QB for the future.

I kind of thought we would suck. I thought the benefit of that would be Matt Corral playing a couple games but nope...

North Carolina Idk GIF by Carolina Panthers

Never planned that, never prepared for that, absolutely the last thing on this guy's mind, not his wet dream Kenny Pickett therefore of no value.

Teh Locker Room in teh huddle was closed because boobies hurt somebody's eyes or feelings or ego or something. We no longer have that anymore. Boobies, butts, cheerleaders. These crybaby revolutionaries ruin every damn thing.

To boobies!

God knows we all need more!

I wanted us to win that game as much as the next fan. Let's be honest here, with a real coaching staff we win that game pretty easily.

Let’s be honest, if the Browns weren’t starting their backup QB the Panthers lose 40-24.

Rhule is awful.  This is science.  But the roster is nearly equally as bad.

My advice is to tank and start from scratch in 2023.

An “ex-Browns fan” means you were never a Browns fan.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
