Hoping the Saints win their next few...

If they are 15-0 going into the last game of the season against the Panthers, they will start everyone and play their hearts out against us.

How sweet would it be to crush their dreams of a perfect season?

Would make the offseason a little less painful. (a little)

I agree completely. The Saints have a very scary team. Offensive firepower is incredible. Defense is tight. I think we will be motivated if they come in 15-0. Nothing like beating a rival to mess up their story book season.

As good as they are. I am betting the don't go all the way.

Go Panthers

The Vikings and Colts in the Super Bowl

I see it being the Vikings and Saints in the NFC Championship game. Then Favre throws the game losing interception. Thats my bet.

You see the Panthers are going to Ruin the dream season. The Saints will go into the Playoffs demoralized and Dallas is gonna beat them in the Super Dome.

Dallas and Minnesota in NFCC ;)

Go Panthers Ruin that perfect season

I am far from a saints fan. God knows I am thankful for them all these years knowing we will get a few sure wins but this season is different. They are really good and have a chance to do something special. Beating them here that last game would be great and I am all for it but I am not wanting to see them fall apart and miss this opportunity to go to the SB and win. I sure as hell rather see them there than Dallas. It may be a long time before they get another chance.

Players will leave, get hurt, and some will simply not play as well. Next year they may be a totally different team. I could live with seeing them go 15-1 and win the SB as long as the 1 defeat was to us.

i would love to see them finish the regular season 15-1 with us as the reason they didn't have that perfect record. i'm fine with role as spoiler. they've been relegated to that role for us for years. what would be hilarious is to see them go one and done in the playoffs and be stuck with a high draft pick next year.

Hmm,

At least they will have a #1 pick...

every team in the draft has a #1 pick. not the #1 pick but a first pick.

but, yes, the saints will have a first rounder. awesome. just as long as it isn't the 32nd pick in the first, i'll be happy.

Will the Saints let up at the final regular season game?

It depends if the Vikings' performance. If they keep on winning, for the Saints to have the home field advantage, the Saints must match the Vikings game for game.

Of course I am assuming both teams wins out. But I think the Saints may have a hard time @ the Falcons.

    • Why would we not be contenders? As long as Bryce plays like he did when he came back, we absolutely can be contenders...that is...   if the defense plays better... which is why adding someone like Ramsey when we have a QB on a rookie deal and can afford it makes sense IMO. No one thought of the Commanders being contenders last year or the Texans the year before and so on and so forth. Top-end QB play, especially for a guy on a rookie deal, changes everything in terms of timelines. Regardless of what this board thinks, I hope the front office is willing to he aggressive in thks window we currently have with a rookie QB deal
    • Would absolutely love to have him. I dont think he would require more than a 5th rounder. The biggest thing with his contract is the amount of guaranteed money. As long as they can work out and scenario where the Panthers aren't on the hook for a lot of that, I think it's a no-brainer. The Panthers can come up with $20M at the drop of a hat with restructuring Moton's contract, so there definitely isn't an issue from a money perspective. Jaycee paired with Ramsey along with Mike Jack would give us one of the best CB groups in the league. The one caveat I see is that safety still remains our biggest current weakness. We need a starting caliber S more than CB, simply put. But adding someone like Ramsey would be amazing as long as the compensation made sense. Ramsey could also play for FS snaps also. I also dont understand this nonsense about being seasons away. We have a QB on a rookie deal who was playing at an elite level to end last season. Within reason, now is absolutely the time to make moves like trading for Ramsey.
    • He'd be a huge upgrade for this year, but we're still not going to be contenders with him and I'd rather keep the cap space to roll into next season to spend on a younger player who can be an impact starter for us for the next 3-5 years while we're hoping to contend.
