Do you think we might promote from within if Fox is fired?

My dad knows Jim Skipper and thinks he could be a good head coach. What do you think? He's done well with the running backs throughout his years here.

Or what about Sal Sunseri for head coach? He did a great job here and is doing a great job in Alabama this year. He's not on the staff now but he's familiar with the players.

Doubt we promote from within. Skipper a HC in the NFL? Not going to happen anytime soon.

Davidson can get ran over far as I care.

Doubt they even consider Meeks.

Don't judge Davidson until you see how he would run an offense not being controlled by Fox.

We called Henning too conservative and predictable while here. He left and is now one of the most creative OC's in the league.

Fox runs the team....Davidson is doing what he is told right now.

agree... last year people were calling Davidson an absolute genius and guessing he'd be up for a HC position in the next year or two. fickle fickle fickle.

fox isn't getting fired mid season. JR will let him hang himself this year and give him the rope he needs to do it.

in the offseason....thats another matter but i would be surprised to see him promote from within. the only one on the coaching staff that has had legit consideration from other teams is meeks. i just don't see that happening unless fox really has been the hold up with the defenses progress and JR knows about it.

I think if he was smart JR would toss Fox and not have a HC for the remainder of the season. Give Meeks and Davidson complete control of there own units playcalling. Evaluate each ones leadership and pose. See which one gets the most out of there units. Then you throw there names in there with all other HC candidates you have. It lets him evaluate each of there talents uninhibited by an overseer. I mean how much worse could the playcalling get?

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
