Tepper to pick the new coach

I'm 90% sure that during the Tepper presser last week,  he was asked what he had learned from the previous coaching search.    He responded with a search committee being involved in future.

 

And of course the owner always has final say.  This isn't anything new.

Rhule can't be blamed for trading CMC or any other fan favorites that get traded in the next week or two, but Fitt can be.

I wouldn't bet on that happening.

About the only guy that might be traded now is Shaq.

Once all the interviews are done, Fitterer, Morgan and Tepper will sit down and choose the best coach for our future. That's how it works.   I don't think there is one owner, outside of Jerry Jones, who doesn't have a seat at the table when making this type of decision.

Too many of you want to nitpick things that are said as a shot against the GM.  

I think Fitterer may have approached Tepper about CMC and informed him that we are getting offers and the best way to rebuild this team is to get a good trade deal for him.  In the presser Fitterer said we were close to getting the value of a 1st rounder, which many of you said we should get.  Instead of one pick we got 4 good picks.   I would have liked to see us get a 3rd in 2024 but am happy with the haul.

 

 

This 100%! This is standard procedure at any large corporation and NFL team. Fitt and Morgan will select and recommend the new HC and Tepper will sign off, i.e. “decide”. Tepper might at this point say no if he doesn’t like the candidate, but that is a low risk. Not sure how this is a surprise to anyone.
