Interested to see what they do at the 77/277 interchange. Likely enough room to build a stadium on one side with a bridge over the highway for parking access.

Or they could just build the HQ/Practice Facility there and leave the stadium in the same place.

Or they could build a soccer field/concert venue so we can get our fugging grass back!

I clearly remember that, when the stadium was first designed and built, it was said to be built in such a manner that later a dome could be added. I don't know if that's still feasible because of the years of renovations.

But they don't hear me though. The worst word in the English language is "can't", we should abolish that word all together.

Those huge billboards would have to be moved inward for it to work. It looks like it can be done though.

Otherwise, looking and observing one can see just that, it looks like it's made to be roof ready.

Creative solutions can change outcomes. We don't have to put the retractable structure on top of the stadium.

These broadside arches could go on both sides and build over and around BofA. That way the stadium itself isn't disturbed and games can still go on until testing.

We could innovate using stacked panels of gorilla glass or something similar. Each panel is fed into the arches via huge motor system inside the arches.

Each individual panels would then be sent over the tracks in the arches to form a semi roof over the stadium.

There isn't anything we can't achieve here in 2022 this project isn't as impossible as some may think.

The arches would add to the uptown landscape. They'd be functional art over the uptown landscape. Further landmarking.

I'm totally on board with modernizing the old girl with such a project. Like others have said, there's really nothing ugly about BofA. It's still somewhat of a modern design to this day.

That way if we decided to, in some kind of ownership/community partnership making practice fields, retail and a couple hotels, Charlotte would instantly have much more hosting capability for drawing large events in the stadium area and surrounding.

    • Any idea what happened to him at LSU? im reading that he was considered a 1st round pick in 2023, had an off 2024 season with only 4 sacks but was also on a horrible FSU team then went to LSU where he was supposed to be on an aggressive defense that should have given him a lot of sacks but he only ended up with one….   was he injured? Did the top SEC competition expose him? What happened? Cause this guy was considered a top prospect .
    • Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.
    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
