The PAC 12 does not want USC to lose. Not sure how that wasn’t deemed targeting when the crown of the helmet was the first thing to hit the QB’s facemask.

If my backup QB was worth a damn I'd call a play action deep bomb in that situation. Everyone expects you to just hand it off and then get your starter back out there.

I was fine with it not being targeting but it'll be interesting to see if the officiating gets dicey down the stretch. Because yeah, the Pac-12 would MUCH rather USC win this game.

I can see that, but I think it was pretty clear that the DB’s crown hit Rising right in the facemask.
