Sam Darnold had the 13th worst QB win in NFL history if we measured passer rating

That is a very low bar, especially given that the NFL is now 17 games.

Sorry but that doesn't fly.

I was expecting way worse numbers and yet you put up numbers that are actually DECENT.

You're forgetting who we're talking about here and how bad he was in the past.

He had his best season to date albeit if it was only 6 games.

Listen, if you consider this decent. Then you're reverting back to your old self I guess.

Sam had 22 yards and an INT going into the 4th lol

he finished with a solid 43 yards.

only the DeAngleo Wildcat game did our starting QB produce less yards.   Even Jimmy Jam mustered more at his worst.

Sam Darnold is a massive bust.  That has gotten opportunity after opportunity.  Beyond what other busts get. What am I supposed to give him credit for?

The current season is still underway.  Who will be a realistic option isn't known yet.  But again, Sam's resume doesn't fit the vet/mentor/coach QB role you would want to aid your young QBs.  He needs that type guy to still help him.

First bolded. there are still plenty of bad QBs in the league. So...

Second bolded. Give him credit for having a pretty good year. For taking a team that was 1-5, and almost making the Playoffs. Busts don't do that.

Third bolded. What Playoff QB would you see us actually getting? That deflection allowed you to skip past having to answer the "Who should we bring in" question.

Fourth bolded. You have no idea what goes on behind those gates. It is just as easy to say Sam can be a mentor, as it is to say otherwise. Just because he has had a rough career, does not automatically eliminate him from being a mentor.

In conclusion. Your hatred of Sam won't even allow you the possibility of thinking this year has shown that maybe, just maybe, there is more to Sam that meets your eye.

I'm not reverting back to anything.

Comparing those numbers you "extrapolated" to the sh*t seasons he's had in the past, there is an obvious difference there.

Wtf, man?

Do you not think it's a bit odd that you're hyper focusing on 6 games where the Panthers had historic rushing numbers against generally bad teams? Is it not fair to include his other four seasons, including his last season in Carolina? Why is it that we have to look at these 6 games ignoring his career?

Why is the bar so low for Sam Darnold? 🤔

It's low for Sam BECAUSE of those bad seasons.

It's low because this is the first time in FOREVER that there is sign of actual IMPROVEMENT from him which I didn't think he ever would improve at all (and that he is what he is).
