Did Godfrey start today?

No rotation. Fox gave the biggest liability on defense his job back......despite Martin being the clear cut best man for the job.

Reason 34: Why Fox doesn't know what he is doing.

If Jake is 80% this week he will get his job back also and he and Godfrey will both make sure we get STOMPED next week.......and NE is beatable if we played a good game.

You should change your handle to WPS. Worse Possible Scenario.

With the new rules that went into effect TODAY. Martin was not allowed to go back into the game if he showed ANY signs of concussion. No matter what he said. If he did in fact suffer a concusion then you will be right about Godfrey next week because Martin will be forced to sit out another week, regardless.

it is called reality....and some people like to pretend Fox's decisions are right.

Godfrey got the job back. Martin was a backup and special teams player today. That is why Godfrey got ever snap prior to that hit.

I'm pretty sure he got hurt there and must of gotten hurt again or Martin would have been in on at least a few plays..

Or Fox gave Godfrey the job back.....and that is why Martin was playing only special teams. If Martin was hurt and couldn't play S.......then he couldn't play ST.

also, if Fox wasn't going to give Godfrey the job back...there would be not be this "let's alternate our horrible S and new and promising S who played great" talk once Godfrey got healthy.

Looked to me like Godfrey had a pretty good day. An interception, the break-up vs. Winslow in the end zone, great coverage position on Beason's 2nd pick... maybe the bench time did him some good.

Also, Martin got hurt on the kickoff following the opening drive of the game - Carolina's D hadn't even taken the field for their first series yet.

well, the guys are the Observer are reporting Godfrey did get the starting job back. Proof again, Fox starts his guys over talent unless injury forces his hand.

Jake will be back unless he goes to IR. Also, I firmly believe Jarrett or Moore could be make the offense more productive if they got Moose's # of targets.

I think Martin is better also..but Godfrey played really well today. So can't really bash Fox on this. Maybe the time on the sidelines did make a difference.

On the Bryant deep passes Godfrey was out of position and there were quite a few times where he failed to make an adjustment within his zone. He lacks the ability to consistently read the offense in a manner a safety has to, he is much more suited for a CB spot than FS...

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
