Who? THE COLTS & AARON RODGERS

Oddsmakers aren't counting out Indy-Rodgers by any means after Steichen joined the fold.

Now THIS, I find interesting.

Jonathan Taylor, Michael Pittman, a good OL coming back from an injury plagued season, the easier division in the AFC, and the most wildcard owner in the league.

If Indy lands Rodgers, Pick 4 is far from being guaranteed QB.  Bears may not have as many suitors for #1 overall, and we could be in a great spot to not have to trade it all away.

This right here could crack this league wide open.

Scenario:

1. Bears: Carter DT

2. Texans: Levis QB

3. Arizona: Anderson EDGE

4. Colts: ....or is it the Packers who have Love?

Then come pick 5, Stroud, Young, Richardson are all still available...

Not sure it would matter. If the Packers are at 4, wouldn’t it be their opportunity to replace Rodgers. If they are feeling like they aren’t a contender anymore and trade Rodgers then I’d assume they’d want to build around a rookie. Seems like 4 would be a QB either way. I think it’s hopium saying the Packers go to 4 and go another position.

You don’t think the packers are ready to move forward with Love? The QB rumored to be traded is Rodgers, not Love. You’d have to assume that the Packers are confident in love if they are willing to move Rodgers.

i doubt the Packers trade Rodgers to draft another QB.

Packers GM just 5 weeks ago: “We really like the development of where Jordan is,” Gutkeunst said at his end of season press conference on Jan. 13. “I think he’s ready to play. I think that’s the next step in his development. Those guys work well together in the room. … We are very excited about Jordan, and where he’s at, there’s no doubt about that.”

And speculation is always right. Again, if the Packers get pick 4, I’d bet money on a QB. I’m not saying they don’t like Love but if they trade Rodgers for pick 4, I don’t think they avoid Stroud or Levis or Young for a guy with 83 passes in 3 years.

I’d take that bet tbh. My buddy knows the packers the same as I know the panthers. The way he speaks about love and the other needs on that roster… I don’t see how the packers would draft a QB.  Love isn’t a bad QB. When he had his up to bats last year… he didn’t turn over the ball and still ran a functional offense.

I’d think the packers go pass rusher or oline with the 4, or even trade back. However, they wouldn’t go QB.

Rodgers just needs to go away....but only after the draft. we don't need another QB hole needing filled to clutter up our pursuit.

Let him get traded to some QB needy team and let the packers go ahead and promote love to the starting gig.

Indy, go ahead and trade for him, please.

Or we just go for a SB this year and trade 9 and some for him. The only non negotiable pick being 2024’s first which we draft Cam Ward or J Daniel’s with late 1st who learns behind him while we get 2 Lombardis.

Land Rodgers, get desperate vets wanting a ring on discount.

Musgrave R2

Some defense for the rest…

SB

I agree but for different reasons.

You know conversations between Aaron Rodgers and Jim Irsay would be comedy gold 😆

yeah i'm not sure what i would like to see more...the rodgers/irsay conversations or rodgers having to deal with the new york press. the guy is an attention whore who doesn't like people talking about him. he wants to throw out controversial comments on the regular, but no one criticizing him. go figure.

he's turned into a clown show. great player...horrible guy to have on your team. same with russel wilson. at least we thought he was a great player. turns out to be just an incredibly lucky narcissist.

We could also do what I call the Fresno package:

Derek Carr (FA) & Jake Haener (R3)

Trade back a tad for an extra future 1st (Could be a high 2024 pick or ammo for Caleb if it doesn’t work)

Land Jordan Addison, Dalton Kincaid & Charbonett and flier mid round weapons

QB: Carr/Haener/Corral

RB: Charbonnet/Foreman/Blackshear

TE: Kincaid

WR: Moore/Addison/TMJ/Reed

    • Thank God DM used that #8 pick on a bona fide WR1 and not some bum pass rushing prospect like Stewart or someone else. I believe Tet is legit WR1 material and going forward will be our long term answer at that position since we desperately were in need of one once they traded away DJ Moore.  Tet could possibly end up even being better long term than someone who I respect a ton as a WR in Moore. Evans has been a pleasant surprise and great TE/FB depth piece going forward who could make the most of his opportunities.  Any good offense worth a damn in the NFL has 3 TEs that can do multiple things and being scared by Ian Thomas play for years should makes us all appreciate what Evans is quietly doing as a ROOKIE at one of the hardest positions to learn at the pro level.  Keep cooking DM. This season is not over obviously but seeing some growth out of young talent finally is a breathe of fresh fuggin air for once.
    • Saw this show up in my new feed. Nice to see a couple of our rookies making it into the top 5 so far, even if it is a pff measure... From https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-top-15-rookies-week-9-2025 ... 4. TE Mitchell Evans, Carolina Panthers (78.7) Evans struggled in the Panthers’ tight win over the Packers, finishing with a 41.8 PFF overall grade — third worst among tight ends this week. He was not targeted in the game and played only one snap in pass protection. He did log 15 run-blocking snaps, and although he earned a 68.9 PFF run-blocking grade in zone looks (seven snaps), his 39.0 mark in gap schemes (second worst for the week) dragged him down to a 46.6 PFF run-blocking grade overall — sixth worst for the week. Despite seeing zero targets over his past two games, Evans still leads the Carolina tight end group with a 74.3 PFF receiving grade. He has caught all nine of his targets for 90 yards, six first downs and two touchdowns. Evans also leads the Panthers’ tight end group in PFF run-blocking grade (72.2). He has recorded a 20.5% positive play rate across 175 snaps.  5. WR Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers (78.6) McMillan had a better day against the Packers, recording four catches for 46 yards. Most of that production came in the first quarter via two 16-yard catches — one of which he snatched from Carrington Valentine’s hands, who was in perfect position to break up the pass. McMillan accounted for three first downs on the day, although Green Bay was able to limit his impact after the catch, holding him to 0.8 yards after the catch per reception. McMillan now has 41 catches for 558 yards — a top-15 mark. He is also tied for second with 19 explosive gains of 15-plus yards. Three of McMillan’s catches against the Packers came between the numbers, bringing him to 22 for 318 yards and 19 first downs (tied for second most) this season. He owns a 26.1% threat rate and a 76.6 PFF receiving grade between the numbers. He also ranks in the top 10 in explosive gains (10) and yards after the catch per reception (5.5) within that area of the field.
