**The Patriots**

Henne Given Sunday

DUN DUN DUN

seriously.....do you guys have a chance next week? we really need you guys to pull out a f**kin win. put us in the division lead.......you are a comon opponent and for tie-breaker purposes a loss to you guy and us winning out....gives us the afc east (again)

so i and all of dolphin-nation (thats gay i know) will be rooting hard for you guys.

so heres my question to realistic panther fans.....do you have a chance?

is delhomme starting? our 1st year starter henne threw it 52 times yesterday.....completed 29......330+ yards 2 tds and a pick.

patriots pass defense is horrible. and i like to think your defense is as good maybe better than ours....and we shut the "almight patriots" out in the 4th quarter.

you played the saints tough (as did we) can you guys beat the patriots?

In order to have any chances I think our O is going to have to be much more creative in play selection. And since we have Fox as HC we can expect 3 runs and a punt.

BTW WTF is up with throwing the deep bombs to Moose. Earlier in the season I didn't mind becuase at least they were trying something different (it wasnt long to smith) but now even something as unlikely asking Moose to go deep is predictable. And whats worst is it hasn't even been working to begin with. Idiots.

brady had a hurt finger against us.....we didnt sack him, but got to him alot and hit him hard....wes welker is a bitch to cover.....our dumb d-coordinator had our middle linebackers on him alot....and we got torched for it.

dont do that.

getting to brady is essential. we pressured him into some bad throws....

hopefully d-will comes back healthy and ready to go.....cause you guys can pound the rock all game....keep brady and their offense off the field....their defense is horrible against the pass....and pretty damn bad against the run (giving up something like 4.5 yards per carry this season) run run run....then play action....and maybe come away with a upset victory!

Didn't see this before my earlier post but agree 100%. The Patriots don't even need to cheat to guess what play we are running. Somehow we are giving it away because every defense appears to be in our huddle. Can you imagine J-Stew on a play-action play where the safeties and backers actually bite?

I don't mind the bombs to Moose because he usually has a good matchup and is experienced in going up for the ball. But the timing is terrible both with Jake and yesterday. That is all about practice and coaching.:frown2:

I may be the only one but Honestly I think Moore (IF THEY LET HIM MAKE MORE Throws! over 10 yards!) can make plays vs the Pats. People need to stop living in the past! when accessing the Pats..Especially their Defense...In short IT STINKS!!! As of Right now the Pats are a "solid" team...or slight above average team..due to their offense..but...defensively they stink...I mean going forward it will be interesting to see..because The Vikings...You are going to have! to Throw the ball...vs them..Simply because that's how you attack! the Viks..Their Secondary..attempting to run 30 to 40 TImes vs Those DT's...is stupid....and even vs the Pats...I'm pretty Sure Billicheck will take away all the dump off under neath stuff...so i can't wait to see what Matt Can do....but We can have any more 3rd and 7's...with WR's running 4 yard routes...(Davidson) we also can't have 54 year old Moose running Go routes either...

Lets just play Moore the rest of the year and see what he has. I'm not sold on Moore in the slightest yet, but Jake is done, and this way, we either see that Moore has potential or people shut up about him. It's a win-win as far as I'm concerned.

The Patriots of right now, are not the Patriots of old. I mean...come on, they're 7-5. That right there gives us a chance. We play up to teams we're not supposed to beat. We should have beat the Saints and I think we're built to beat a team like the Patriots. It's very possible.

That said, they're 6-0 at home and do NOT want to lose three straight.

It's going to be very difficult.

This is correct. Moore starting means we aren't down 14-0 at kickoff. Keep it close, kick a late field goal, and ya never know.

dunno if you did that on purpose.....lol

but thats exactly what happened yesterday. pats jumped out to a 14-0 lead on us. we had a long drive.....scored a td....held the patriots. stopped em' on 4th and 1.....kicked a FG at halftime....

14-10

they scored again

21-10

we scored a FG....21-13

we hold them.....score a TD

2 point conversion fail

21-19

intercept brady in the endzone!!! our rookie corner vontae davis!!!!

we drive down......FG....22-21

brady has 50 seconds left with no timeouts.....pressure....cameron wake takes brady down, desperation throw....right to channign crowder, he lays down. game over.

keep it close, and you can beat the patriots!!!! make it happen panthers!!! :cheers2:

I'd say we have a good chance, I think we match-up with the Patriots well.

We're ranked 3rd in rushing offense and the Pats are ranked 17th in rushing defense. They're ranked 15th in rushing offense and we're ranked 26th in rushing defense. We run the ball well and they don't defend the run particularly well, meanwhile we don't defend the run well, but they don't run the ball well either.

The Patriots passing offense is ranked 2nd and our passing defense is ranked 5th. Our passing offense is ranked 27th and their pass defense is ranked 14th. They pass the ball VERY well, but we defend the pass VERY well. We don't pass the ball well, but they don't defend the pass particularly well either.

The difference in allot of games this year has been the # of times we turn the ball over. If we can manage our own turnovers then I think we have a good shot at beating the Brady bunch.

    • I have more faith in XL improving than I do in Tmac being a true number 1 recuever
    • Round 1. TMac arguably the best WR in the draft Round 2. Scour ton mentioned as a possible 1st round edge.     Texas A&M did not use him the same way Purdue did. After the 2023 season he was listed as a first round grade. I believe had Texas A&M used him like they did at Purdue he never makes it out of round 1. Round 3 Princely Umanmielen, we'll go by Princely.  Another highly graded player we got in a lower round. As the video suggests, even if he plays only on passing down it's a positive. Give him a couple of years to develop a he could be a three down player.  Round 4a Etienne IMO a huge upgrade over Blackshear. I can see him in a similar role as CMC without the heavy workload. He can run in between the tackles and has some shifty moves. Give Canales some flexibility. A fellow huddler pointed out UGA running backs don't see the field if they cannot pick up the blitz. Really good pick. Round 4b Ransom a hard hitting safety that has played three different positions on defense. Great pick Round 5a Cam Jackson a massive NT in round 5. I believe a solid rotational pick in a lower round. We added a beast that could make offenses quiver when he's lined up with Brown. Great Value  Round 5b Evans This is another player that can block and has good hands. He also had better seasons before 2024. As a rookie he's probably leaps and bounds better than Ian Thomas. I think he gives us a three headed monster at TE.  Round 6 Horn Jr. Many believe he's just going to be a KR/PR player. I believe there are going to be packages for him to get on the field as a WR. His speed with TMac and Thielen in the slot could be special. I'm really looking forward to seeing him in training camp. I've watched some film and he is very explosive.  Overall I love our picks. I honestly believe all of them will contribute this season. I don't believe we reached on one player in this draft.  This weekend we get a small look at these rookies
    • You joke, but hasn't basically the whole team been in Charlotte this past week together? I'm not one to see the random dumb stuff players put out on social media in the offseason and think it means that's ALL they've been doing and not working on their game.  But it's a little strange that all this is coming out at the same time we're seeing tons of stuff with the team in Charlotte together, even if it's just working out and not even official team OTA's or anything. So he gets a pass from me saying anything now, but if he doesn't show clear improvement this season, it then opens him up to some retroactive criticism for some things.
