Has Fitterer ever talked about CJ?

I’m of the believe that FITT & Tepper have been sold on young before they even hired Reich back in November.

whether we take CJ is really how much Reich & McCOWN can change FITT & Tepper’s mind IMO.

This is what I think too

Yep, that's my concern, the difference is Russ is a tad taller, but a significantly stockier build to his frame, which is my concern with Young, not his height.

I hear that. I’m not concerned abt height at all as he throws pretty well in the middle of the field.
weight is concerning, but that’s the one physical thing he can fix with time.

Honestly if u listen to FITT, u can clearly see Whr his mind is.

i think there are discussions from McCown (strong) & Reich (lesser) to take a hard look at CJ.

when u hear FITT say things like “He held court”, he means Bryce has to do something crazy not to be the pick in his & Tepper eyes.

No it's not, he can add weight, but he can only add so much because he just has a very slim frame to him.  You put too much weight onto that frame and it will affect other aspects of his game.

You can coach up Stroud's mental side of the game, which is where Young is elite.  And as I've said numerous times, we're not talking about a dummy back there who can't read defenses and has a poor mental side to their game (I see you Zach Wilson, Sam Darnold, Kyler Murray, etc).  Stroud is already very good at that, just not quite to the same level as Young.

I think that can be coached up with the right coaches more easily than you can get Young to bulk up enough to protect him from injury.

If the QB coach and the head coach have to change the mind of the GM and the owner we're quite possibly doomed regardless. Fitterer is and will always be one of the folks who signed off on the Darnold trade.

GMs pick players & coaches coach them. That’s the way it is in most organizations from NFL, to NBA etc…

The NBA has an owner who gets too hands on with draft picks too. His name is Michael Jordan.

I somewhat disagree…he can easily add 20 pound of mostly muscle to this frame. Nobody is saying to add 100 pounds.

also, CJ can be coached but I don’t think to the degree of Bryce. It’s all fascinating stuff for sure & I can’t wait to follow both careers.

Young should be able to sit at 205-210lbs comfortably eventually

Mahomes isn't as good at reading the defense as say a Drew Brees is, but I'd rather have Mahomes as my QB.

You're talking about Stroud as if he's Levis, someone who has questionable decision making in college, but he's not, he's Elite in that area, Stroud is just Elite +1 in the same area.

    • I was still in the throes of a contentious divorce and my job at the time had me work on Sundays.  At the beginning of the season I tried to still work around Sundays so I could see our games.  I think after Bryce came back from the benching, I said fug it.  First time in my life I intentionally didn’t watch our games, even through the Atlanta finale.  In the past, even if we didn’t live up to expectations, I would watch to still support and at least analyze player development, strengths and weaknesses, coaching, etc., but Bryce makes all of that a moot point, so I stopped watching. Again, this is asinine,  it if he is retained (still can’t believe this is even a possibility of a conversation due to how shitty our organization has become under Tepper), I will NOT watch next season until he is gone.
    • Live look at Bryce playing ping pong.
    • I think a lot of us are feeling this way, enough is enough. There is absolutely no reason to subject the fans of your team to another full season of Bryce fuging Young. I already don't watch like I used to,I miss games and don't even care. Before I was always at the games or in my recliner when the game started now what's the point. Bryce won't have more than 50 yards passing by halftime anyway.   It's crazy how we watch these other teams dump a trash QB quickly yet here we are in year 3 still hoping he will get better, news flash,he won't. I'm not down for year 4,wake me up if we ever decide to replace the mistake.  fug it I can spend more time with my family or making money, fug Tepper.
