Clausen, Tate leaving Notre Dame for NFL draft

nah, quinn was always overblown by the national media because of where he played and the fact he looks like me. every could see he was a poor man's pennington.

he hasn't exactly been given too much of an opportunity though...not only with the merry-go-round qb situation with the Browns, but as has been said, how many quarterbacks would be successful on that team's offense? Put him on a decent offense and give him steady playing time and I think he'd be much better.

cleveland's crappiness aside, he still has a 35 yard arm.

it's not like the browns' offensive line is bad, and mohommad massoquai is a fine Wide Reciever

I would actually like to see it. One of the only negatives I see is that Weiss recommended Davidson for the job and they are likely close. He might now be so keen on being the reason that Davidson gets fired.

The one thing to note though is that I don't think we've seen the real Jeff Davidson. We currently witness John Fox's version of Jeff Davidson on Sundays.

And Trent Dilfer won a Super Bowl with his longest pass going for 44 yrds...big deal. No one's saying he's Manning or Brady, but you can win with a QB like him. Everyone was sucking Anderson's dick but what did he do with the Browns' supposedly decent OL and Massoquai catching passes?

Why?

A lot of reason #1 he reminds me so much of Steve Smith. He has 93 receptions (about 8 catches per game), 1,496 yards (124 per game) and 15 receiving TD's (1.25 per game). He shows the ability to get good separation against even the best defenses, his stats against the Trojans: 8 catches, 117 yards, 2 TD's. Like Smith he can make those circus catches that we all love. He has very good hands and is very good at YAC. He is a converted RB and is very tough to bring down especially by CB's.

He was actually a RB in high school, and had never played WR until he got to ND. As a freshman he had 6 catches all year because the only route he knew how to run was a Go Route. Now he has progressed to the point that he can get open on almost any thing he runs. He also brings the added dimension of in the Wildcat. As an ex-RB, he understands how to run the ball through an offensive line and use blockers, and he has the fearlessness and power of a RB.

In other words extremely great value in the 2nd if he was to somehow fall. I don't want Clausen unless Weis is our OC even then I would rather have Quinn, as I think he has better tools and would come far cheaper.
